SYSTEM FOR SALIVA COLLECTION
Disclosed herein are portable handheld devices for saliva collection for daily monitoring of salivary biomarkers of physiological conditions, the device comprising: a handheld handle comprising a saliva collector, the saliva collector comprising: a suction tip; a bi-directional pump electrically configurable for pumping towards two opposite directions; a saliva reservoir; a valve; a water reservoir, the water reservoir comprising an external filling lid; a reversible fluidic connection configurable in a connected and disconnected position; and a base accommodating the handheld handle, the base configurable to fluidly communicate with the handheld handle through at least the reversible fluidic connection, wherein the valve is electrically configured to allow fluid communication directly between at least two selected from: the saliva reservoir, the water reservoir, and the reversible fluidic connection, and wherein the bi-directional pump is electrically configurable to allow fluid communication directly between the suction tip and the saliva reservoir.
Process and system for cleaning and maintaining and for operating a medical hand-held instrument
A process and also to a system for cleaning and maintaining a medical hand-held instrument, in particular a dental hand-held instrument, with an elongate grip sleeve in which elements are arranged which pertain to a drive arrangement and which are, in particular, rotatably supported, for example a shaft. For the purpose of cleaning and maintaining the hand-held instrument different media are conducted through it. In this connection a first medium, for example oil, is conducted merely through a power-transmission region surrounding the elements of the drive arrangement, whereas, on the other hand, a second medium, for example a cleaning agent, is conducted additionally also through at least one further cavity within the hand-held instrument.
Liquid processing nozzle for purifying liquid piping of dental device
A formation of a biofilm is suppressed in piping having a relatively small liquid flow rate. A liquid processing nozzle connected to a liquid piping between a handpiece and a water supply source piping includes a nozzle body in which a liquid inlet, a liquid outlet, and a liquid flow path communicating the liquid inlet and the liquid outlet are formed, and a plurality of protrusions protruding from an inner surface of the liquid flow path into the liquid flow path. The protrusions are arranged so that protrusion amounts from the inner surface of the liquid flow path into the liquid flow path gradually increase as they go from an upstream side to a downstream side of the liquid flow path in a liquid flow direction from the liquid inlet to the liquid outlet.
Water treatment dispensing apparatus
A cartridge for use in a water purification apparatus and a water purification method for maintaining a water quality supply are provided. The cartridge comprises an elongated tubular body having first and second ends comprising a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, and an internal chamber extending between the first and second end. The first end includes an end cap having a first opening in fluid communication with the body. A disinfectant material is disposed in the internal chamber of the body. Filters are disposed in the elongated tubular body adjacent to the first opening and adjacent the second end of the elongated tubular body and are in fluid communication with the internal chamber and the fluid outlet. The second end of the elongated tubular body comprising an exterior surface having a tapered portion and a linear portion adjacent to the tapered portion.
Treatment unit comprising a sensing unit for the measurement of antimicrobial actives
The invention relates to a medical treatment unit, in particular a dental treatment unit, comprising a water leading system and a measurement unit for the quantitative measurement of an antimicrobial agent content in water contained in the water leading system.
Device comprising handpiece connector having filter coupled thereto
A device including a handpiece connector to which a filter is coupled can be combined with the handpiece and has a connector accommodating therein a filter with an increased cross-sectional area, which can be replaced in a detachable manner, so that it can prevent saliva, blood, bacteria, and foreign substances that may be mixed with the air flowing along inside the handpiece from being exposed to the inside of the patient's oral cavity, causing contamination or infection, and prevent performance degradation and a fault of the handpiece caused by foreign substances accumulating inside the handpiece.
