Removable fluid connection fitting for oral irrigator
A removable fluid connection fitting for an oral irrigator is provided. The oral irrigator may include a base unit including an opening formed therein, an oral irrigator handle including a handle inlet, a fitting removably coupled to the base unit and seated within the opening formed in the base unit, and a tube in fluid communication with the fitting and the handle inlet. The fitting may include a fitting inlet and a fitting outlet, the fitting inlet being in fluid communication with the base unit. The tube may be in fluid communication with the fluid outlet. Fluid from the base unit may flow through the fitting inlet, to the fitting outlet, into the tube, and into the handle inlet.
IRRIGATION SOLUTION TO REDUCE/ELIMINATE AEROSOL GENERATION DURING DENTAL AND SURGICAL PROCEDURES
Compositions for reducing/eliminating aerosolization during dental/surgical irrigation procedures are set forth. One or more of the compositions herein can be provided in substantially similar concentrations to reduce/eliminate aerosolization.
Method For Excavating Dental Material
A method for excavating tooth material, having the steps of placing (S101) a structure-borne sound sensor on a tooth; excavating (S102) the tooth material by means of a fluid jet; detecting (S103) structure-borne sound signals during excavation by the structure-borne sound sensor; and regulating or controlling (S104) a fluid jet generating device based on the structure-borne sound signals.
DENTAL LASER TREATMENT APPARATUS
Provided is a dental laser treatment apparatus that can facilitate sterilization and cleaning work in a treatment with laser beams and also during and after the treatment, which puts less physical and mental burdens on a patient, offers a prospect of quick and reliable therapeutic effects, and allows for faster healing. A dental laser treatment apparatus may include an apparatus body including a laser beam generating device that generates a laser beam; a laser beam application device including an optical fiber that supplies the laser beam generated by the laser beam generating device and a handpiece that includes an application port for the laser beam attached on a distal portion of the optical fiber; and a cleaning solution supply unit that discharges sterilizing/cleaning solution from a sterilizing/cleaning solution supply unit.
Device and system to improve asepsis in dental apparatus
A method and system to improve asepsis during dental delivery includes a self-contained water delivery apparatus and a vacuum apparatus both of which provide disinfection of biohazards occurring during dental procedures. A UVC LED light emitting unit, with sanitary connections, may be releasably connected to the delivery and vacuum apparatus for improved maintenance and cleaning. A reservoir egress connector provides releasable engagement, fluid agitation, and unrestricted UV light transmission to improve water quality, reduce biofilm water contamination, reduce cross contamination, and reduce the potential spread of pathogens. The mounting system for the UVC LED light unit allows the apparatus to be used to decontaminate portable dental delivery units and vacuum units upon closure. A reflective interior of the cases improves irradiation of the enclosed system, reducing the risk and spread of pathogens.
DENTAL WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A system and method for attaching a dental water supply bottle to a bottle mounting bracket associated with dental equipment. The system includes a collar configured to be attached to a neck region of a dental water supply bottle, one or more attachment openings defined by the collar, and a quick release adapter. The adapter may include one or more mounting bracket attachment slots and one or more quick release structures. Thus, the adapter can be mounted to the collar by placing the one or more quick release structures into the one or more attachment openings, and the adapter can be disengaged and removed from the collar by manually articulating the quick release structures without the use of tools. The bottle, collar, and quick release adapter may be mounted to a new or existing dental water supply mounting bracket using the mounting bracket attachment slots.
Aqueous Solution For Use In Cleaning Via Irradiation By Ultraviolet Rays And/Or Near-Ultraviolet Visible Light And/Or Light In 800-900 NM Near-Infrared Region, Dentifrice Including Said Solution, Dental Treatment Device, Toothbrush, And Tooth Cleaning Met
An aqueous solution for intraoral cleaning via irradiation with ultraviolet ray and/or near-ultraviolet visible ray and/or ray in an 800-900 nm near-infrared region is employed as the hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution, wherein a concentration of hydrogen peroxide is 1 w/v % to 7 w/v %, and a concentration of a hydrogen peroxide stabilizer is 81 ppm (mg/L) or less in the aqueous solution.
Oral irrigator with handle support
An oral irrigator is provided. The oral irrigator may include a base unit defining a recess, a reservoir supported by the base unit, a handle support attached to the base unit above the recess, an oral irrigator handle supported by the handle support, and a tube attached to the handle and in fluid communication with the reservoir and the handle such that fluid from the reservoir flows through the tube into the handle. The tube may include a coiled portion that is received in the recess defined by the base unit when the handle is supported by the handle support.
Dental Instrument Water Supply Filter
A dental instrument water supply filter includes a hollow cylindrical body which bounds an interior area. The interior area houses a plurality of iodinated resin particles. A pair of water permeable discs are positioned in the interior area of the body at opposed axial ends. End caps close the interior area of the body at the respective opposed ends, and each end cap includes a respective removable fluid fitting. Water that is used in connection with the operation of a dental instrument is passed through the filter. The filter provides filtration and reduces microorganisms in the water that is passed therethrough and also releases ions into the water that are effective reduce the growth of contaminants in the water lines to the instrument.
