Mechanical adapter to transfer motion from rotational to swinging via a slotted cam structure
A mechanical rotational-swinging adapter is provided to transfer a continuous rotational input from a driving tool into back-and-forth swinging output via a slotted cam structure. When the rotational-swinging adapter is installed between the nosecone and the air motor of a conventional dental handpiece, the nosecone outputs the back-and-forth swinging movement for dental work such as root canal or prophylaxis treatments.
ROLLING BEARING, BEARING UNIT FOR AIR TURBINE, AND AIR TURBINE HANDPIECE FOR DENTAL USE
When the compressed air is not applied, an inclined surface, which is positioned at an upstream side with respect to the supply direction of the compressed air, of the lip part is in contact with the inclined surface of the inner ring. When the compressed air is applied, a contact area between the inclined surface, which is positioned at the upstream side with respect to the supply direction of the compressed air, of the lip part and the inclined surface of the inner ring becomes smaller, as compared to when the compressed air is not applied.
Apparatus and method for recording digital images and presenting 3D models of a body lumen

The lumen scanner includes: an optical sensor (240) configured to acquire images of the body lumen while the lumen scanner is disposed inside the body lumen; and a fluid nozzle (202) configured to direct fluid onto an area of the body lumen imaged by the optical sensor while the lumen scanner is disposed inside the body lumen.
DISPOSABLE DENTAL VALVE DEVICE HAVING A SOCKET END
A disposable dental valve device is disclosed having a valve body having an interior, a tip receiving end for receiving a tip, a socket hose receiving end for receiving a tube having a beaded end, a lumen formed between the tip receiving end and the socket hose receiving end, and a partial opening formed in the valve body, a rotatable valve sealing body adapted to be inserted into the partial opening, and the rotatable valve sealing body having a bore for alignment with the lumen formed between the tip receiving end and the socket hose receiving end.
Dexterous Dental Handpiece With Hand and Foot Actuation
A dental instrument comprises a fluid driven handpiece in fluid communication with a valve; a source of fluid in fluid communication with the valve; and a controller in electrical communication with the valve and an actuator positioned on the handpiece. The actuator is configured to cause the valve to move between a first position in which fluid cannot flow from the source of fluid to the handpiece and a second position in which fluid flows from the source of fluid to the handpiece thereby driving the handpiece. The dental instrument may further comprise a second actuator in communication with the controller. The second actuator is configured to cause the valve to move between the first position in which fluid cannot flow from the source of fluid to the handpiece and the second position in which fluid flows from the source of fluid to the handpiece thereby driving the handpiece.
High-speed turbine dental handpiece adapted for single safe use
The high-speed turbine dental handpiece adapted for single safe use comprises a nose, a handle connected to the rear end of the nose, a plug connector disposed at the rear end of the handle, and a clip ring for fixing the handle and the plug connector, wherein the plug connector is provided with a first fixing slot at a side wall, the tail end of the handle is provided with a second fixing slot matched with the first fixing slot, the inner wall of the clip ring is provided with bumps matched with the first fixing slot and the second fixing slot, and when the clip ring is hooped on the plug connector, the bumps are embedded into the first fixing slot and the second fixing slot to limit and fix the handle and the plug connector. The invention effectively prevents the disposable dental handpiece from being reused in various ways, it is simple in structure and convenient to detach and thus can be conveniently detached and destroyed after being used, and in addition, with the disposable light-emitting component, whether the dental handpiece is used can be identified simply and clearly. According to the inventor, the concept of one handpiece for one patient for single use as advocated by the WHO in the field of oral health can be achieved, effectively solving the problem of iatrogenic cross infection in the field of stomatology. The invention is similar to a disposable syringe but with a more complex structure as a dental handpiece.
