The clamping device comprises a clamp (4) disposed inside the drive shaft (2) for axially securing the drilling tool (100) with respect to the axis of rotation (R), the clamp (4) co-operating with a plunger (5) for releasing the drilling tool (100), as well as a radial guide bush (3) of the drilling tool, rotating integrally with the drive shaft (2), and wherein it comprises a selective angular coupling mechanism (C.sub.s) between the clamp (4) and the guide bush (3) or the drive shaft (2) directly, according to the chosen preferred embodiment; the selective angular coupling mechanism (C.sub.s) exerting an angular holding torque (C) between the clamp (4) and the guide bush (3) or respectively the drive shaft (2), the value of which being inferior to that corresponding to the slip threshold between the said clamp (4) and the drilling tool (100).
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROSTHETIC PLACEMENT, SURGICAL GUIDE PLACEMENT, AND ORTHOGNATHIC SURGERY REASSEMBLY
A robotic system and method involve a fiducial marker engaged with a maxillofacial anatomy, and an end effector at a distal end of an articulating arm member. The end effector receives a dental element comprising a prosthetic device, a surgical guide, or an orthognathic element, in a predetermined spatial relationship therewith. A controller device directly communicates with the fiducial marker, the articulating arm member, and the end effector, to determine an end effector disposition relative to the fiducial marker during end effector movement according to a virtual procedure plan for placing the dental element in aligned relation to the maxillofacial anatomy, and directs the articulating arm member to physically control allowable movement of the end effector, directly relative to the disposition of the end effector with respect to the fiducial marker and according to the virtual procedure plan, to place the dental element for securement to the maxillofacial anatomy.
Surgical bit and production method
The invention concerns a surgical drill bit able to be connected to a surgical tool, comprising a flexible stem. The invention also concerns a corresponding method to produce the surgical drill bit.
Dental system with hand piece for endodontic files
A dental tool includes: a hand piece; an endodontic hand file; a stopper, wherein the stopper comprises a first hole for receiving a portion of the endodontic hand file; and a mechanical motion module that imparts mechanical motion to the endodontic hand file. A dental system includes: a hand piece; an endodontic file; and a stopper comprising at least two holes, wherein a first hole receives a portion of the endodontic file, and wherein a second hole receives a portion of a first tube for delivering a liquid to the endodontic file. The dental system can further include a second tube partially contained in a third hole of the stopper for suctioning liquids from a patient's mouth. The dental system can also further include a mechanical motion module.

Torque wrench for connecting a replaceable instrument tip to a hand piece, system comprising a torque wrench and an instrument tip and method for connecting an instrument tip to a hand piece
Torque wrench for connecting a replaceable instrument tip to a hand piece that carries the replaceable instrument tip in operation, a base element having a receiving region for placing the instrument tip inside the receiving region at least during connecting the instrument tip to the hand piece, a torque wrench mechanism for applying a certain torque when connecting the instrument tip to the hand piece and a housing surrounding the instrument tip being arranged in the receiving region, the housing being preferably transparent, wherein the torque wrench has a guiding structure for aligning the torque wrench relative to the hand piece during arranging the torque wrench on the hand piece, in particular in an interface region of the hand piece, and/or where the housing has an inner surface and an outer surface being concentric to each other over a complete primary region extending at least from the base element to the end of the instrument tip, when the torque wrench is equipped with the instrument tip.
Dental screwdriver
The disclosure relates to a dental screwdriver having a shaft portion made of a smart type alloy that bends with little or no resistance along an arch forming portion thereof and without imparting torqueing forces along a distal front end portion thereof onto which is connected a drive tip designed to interface with an appropriately sized screw. The smart alloy automatically assumes its original shape in the absence of twisting forces on the shaft along the arch forming portion. In an alternate embodiment, assuming the original shape involves applying heat and/or subtle finger pressure. The dental screwdriver may be part of a set of screwdrivers, each having a distal front end portion which is uniquely weighted, sized and/or dimensioned to accommodate different driver tips, handle different torqueing functions, and/or configured to bend to a specific maximum angular arch without permanent deformation. A dental prosthetic having a curved bore cavity is also described.
