Disposable Dental Tool
A disposable dental tool includes a disposable handpiece and a bit mount and dismount device. The disposable handpiece includes an elongated handle body, a drill head provided at one end of the handle body, and a through holding channel for holding a drill bit thereat. The bit mount and dismount device includes a handheld actuator having a thumb pusher surface and an opposed bit pusher surface, and a pusher bit protruded from the bit pusher surface. The thumb pusher surface of the handheld actuator is held to push the bit pusher surface thereof toward the drill head for mounting the drill bit at the disposable handpiece by pushing the drill bit through the through holding channel and for dismounting the drill bit at the disposable handpiece by pushing the drill bit out of the through holding channel via the pusher bit.
DENTAL SPLATTER SHIELD WITH FLUIUD ABSORPTION AND LIGHT REFLECTION
A dental instrument is described. The dental instrument includes a shaft including a graspable end and a usable end. The dental instrument also includes a splatter shield. The splatter shield comprises a pliable sheet material having within the sheet material an aperture formed therethrough. The aperture is sized and shaped in a way to be frictionally and selectively coupled to the usable end of the shaft of the dental instrument.
DISPOSABLE PROTECTIVE ASSEMBLY APPARATUS FOR A DENTAL SYRINGE
Embodiments disclose a disposable protective assembly apparatus for a dental syringe body of a dental syringe. The apparatus is a combination of a disposable syringe tip and a disposable protective sleeve, the sleeve being pre-attached to the syringe tip, and the sleeve being in a pre-folded position to be quickly and easily slid over the dental syringe prior to a dental operation.

Face capture and intraoral scanner and methods of use
Apparatuses (e.g., systems, devices, etc.) and method for scanning both a subject's face as well as the subject's intra oral cavity to provide two-dimensional (2D) and/or three dimensional (3D) data that may be subsequently used in prosthodontic and orthodontic procedures, including smile planning (e.g., designing or modifying a subject's overall smile or facial aesthetics).
DEFFOGGING OF PROTECTIVE SLEEVE FOR INTRAORAL SCANNER
An intraoral scanning device comprises a housing having a longitudinal axis and comprising a head configured for insertion into an oral cavity of a patient, the head comprising an aperture for transmission of optical signals, a transparent element positioned within the aperture, wherein the transparent element is non-orthogonal to the longitudinal axis, and a defogging unit comprising a heating unit. A protective sleeve is configured to cover at least a part of the head and comprises an additional aperture that aligns with the aperture and an additional transparent element in the additional aperture. A gap separates the additional transparent element from the transparent element when the protective sleeve is coupled to the housing. The housing and the protective sleeve are configured such that heat generated by the heating unit is transferred from the heating unit to the additional transparent element despite the gap that separates the additional transparent element from the transparent element.
Interproximal reduction tool and method
An interproximal reduction tool and method preferably includes at least one polishing strip; at least one abrasive wheel; and a low speed and high torque dental electric motor. First, the area between two adjacent teeth is manually polished with a plurality of polishing strips. The polishing strip is held between a forefinger and thumb and moved in a horizontal plane. Each abrasive wheel preferably includes an abrasive disc and a shaft. The abrasive disc includes a disc base and abrasive material. The abrasive material is adhered to opposing sides of the disc base. It is preferable to have an annular space between an outer edge of the disc base and an outer perimeter of the annular abrasive material. The low speed/high torque motor preferably utilizes an existing dental motor and modifies the dental motor to have a preferable gear reduction of at least 16:1.
Tip for an optical scanner
Disclosed is a tip for an optical scanner, where said tip comprises a framework and an optical element. For some configurations the optical element is releasable attaching to the framework by a holding means of the tip. For some configurations the tip framework is formed in two materials of different thermal conductivities.
