ACCESS GUIDE AND DRILL KIT TO BE USED WITH SAME FOR ENDODONTIC ACCESS CAVITY PREPARATION AND METHOD OF USE
A set of drill bits and/or burrs for attaching to a hand piece and fitting into an access guide during endodontic access cavity preparation is provided. The drill bits are optionally grouped into two types: a high speed, friction grip attachment type drill bit and a slow speed, latch attachment type drill bit. Each of the drill bits has a different longitudinal length for performing different functions during operation procedures. A method of performing an endodontic access cavity preparation with the set of drill bits is also provided.
Dental treatment apparatus and method of driving the same
A dental treatment apparatus includes a handpiece holding a cutting tool in its head, a drive portion driving the cutting tool held by the head, and a control portion controlling the drive portion in accordance with a drive sequence. The drive sequence includes at least one forward rotation drive for rotating the cutting tool in a cutting direction to cut a treatment portion and at least one reverse rotation drive for rotating the cutting tool in a non-cutting direction. Under the control of the drive portion in accordance with the drive sequence, a cumulative amount of rotation which is an accumulation of an amount of rotation in forward rotation drive and an amount of rotation in reverse rotation drive does not exceed a set value at any time point.

APEX LOCATOR ATTACHMENT
An apex locator attachment for connection to an apex locator for measurement of the position of the length of a root canal during endodontic treatment. A shape, structure and dimensions of the attachment are configured to maximize the ease of use of the attachment and to enable mechanical and electrical coupling of a dental instrument to an apex locator while allowing the apex locator attachment to be easily cleaned, disinfected and autoclaved.

DENTAL AND MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS COMPRISING TITANIUM
Endodontic instruments for use in performing root canal therapy on a tooth are disclosed. In one form, the instruments include an elongate shank having a cutting edge extending from a distal end of the shank along an axial length of the shank. The shank comprises a titanium alloy, and the shank is prepared by heat-treating the shank at a temperature above 25° C. in an atmosphere consisting essentially of a gas unreactive with the shank. In another form, the endodontic instruments have an elongate shank having a cutting edge extending from a distal end of the shank along an axial length of the shank. The shank consists essentially of a titanium alloy selected from alpha-titanium alloys, beta-titanium alloys, and alpha-beta-titanium alloys. The instruments solve the problems encountered when cleaning and enlarging a curved root canal.

Nickel-titanium file root canal preparation instrument
A nickel-titanium file root canal preparation instrument, including a nickel-titanium preparation system and a water flushing system. The nickel-titanium preparation system includes a nickel-titanium file, a handheld device head, a handheld device body, an electric motor, and a power controller; the water flushing system includes a conduit, a conduit fixing device, a liquid pump, and a liquid pump controller. The existing theory and study regarding root canal preparation has misled people about the root canal preparation method, and this leads to the result that the existing nickel-titanium root canal preparation is implemented in a dry-drilling manner. By providing a water flow to perform flushing during the root canal preparation of the nickel-titanium file root canal preparation instrument, the service life of the nickel-titanium file is prolonged.
