Self-inflating tooth dam
A disposable, self-inflatable, matrix (tooth dam) used to form a temporary, removeable side wall for the placement of a tooth filling material. It has an array of three concavities (distal, central and proximal) formed in a polymer wrap that has a planar substrate sheet affixed across the front face of the wrap. The distal air chamber has a volume that equals or exceeds the combined volume of the central and proximal air chambers. Directly below the distal concavity on the inner face of the planar substrate is an adhesive region. When the distal air chamber is depressed, the air within inflates the other air chambers and it is retained in its compressed state by the adhesive region. The remaining air chambers press against one tooth and exert enough force to elastically secure the planar panel around the adjacent tooth. It prevents the tooth filling material from leaving the prepared tooth and entering the space between.
ELONGATED TAB MATRIX BAND
A dental matrix band in sectional or circumferential configurations comprises at least a first elongated tab with a plurality of through holes and perforations on the undersurface to aid in positioning and bonding of the dental matrix band to a tooth or teeth adjacent the tooth being restored to improve the restoration procedure and results.

Dental isolation system
A dental isolation system includes a dental tool that has a handle portion at a proximal end, a tip portion at an opposite, distal end, and a body portion extending between the handle portion and the tip portion. The handle portion has handles and finger apertures so that a dentist can manipulate the distal end. The tip portion is inserted into an O-ring of a dental dam and, when actuated by a dentist, the tip portion forms a quadrant, allowing the stretched O-ring to easily fit over a tooth.

AUTOMATED DENTAL DRILL
An automated dental drill includes a dental drill housing that includes a mouth piece housing section and a one or more degrees of freedom drive housing section; an end effector drive support having a shaft section that is at least partially positioned in the mouth piece housing section, and an end effector for the cutting of a native tooth or dental appliance to a desired tolerance. The end effector is positioned on the end effector drive support. The automated dental drill also includes a power source that drives the end effector and is coupled to the end effector and a one or more degrees of freedom drive assembly to direct the end effector along one or more degrees of freedom relative to the mouth piece housing section.

Mouth-opening device custom-made through 3-dimensional printing
A device is provided for opening mouth. The device is custom-made through 3-dimensional (3D) printing. The overall framework is printed out after 3D-scanning the oral cavity, which meets a patient's oral shape. The present invention practically and effectively fabricates a custom-made mouth-opening device. The mouth's structure changed after surgery is taken into consideration, so that the patient can easily open the mouth with one hand. Furthermore, because the weight overall is light, the whole single-hand operation feels no heavy. The prolonged work of dental rehabilitation required by the patient is met. The device is easy to be cleaned. The feature of high material strength yet with proper softness is achieved. The comfort of use is increased for the patient with life quality enhanced. The effectiveness of rehabilitation and intervention is improved. The cost of custom-made medical material is effectively reduced.
METHODS, DEVICES, SYSTEMS, ASSEMBLIES, AND KITS FOR TISSUE RETRACTION IN AN ORAL CAVITY
Provided herein is a retraction device for retracting soft tissue from the dental surfaces in the oral cavity of a patient. The retraction device is comprised of a topology conformable structure, where the topology conformable structure is adaptable to be delivered to the oral cavity in a constrained shape. The device can then undergo a conformation change in the oral cavity, where the device transforms into its unconstrained shape. The unconstrained shape of the device creates a useable working field in the oral cavity. The useable working field can provide increased accessibility to and/or visibility within the oral cavity. Also provided herein are methods for using the device and kits.
