Modular bone screw for surgical fixation to bone
The invention discloses a modular surgical bone screw assembly having a threaded base portion and a screw head adapted to attach a variety of structures to bone. The features of the screw include a modular design for the assembly that separates the function of anchorage to the recipient bone to one of the modules of the device (threaded portion) from the other function of attaching another element (such as bone block, membrane, orthodontic wires, elastics etc) to a second module (the screw head). The design also allows the head to be exchanged after the implant has been placed.
ZYGOMATIC IMPLANT WITH PARTIALLY INTERRUPTED THREADED PORTION
A utility model pertains to the field of dental treatment components and was developed with the objective of better installation conditions, greater mechanical stability and greater comfort during use, when compared to similar ones in the current state of the art. It includes: an implant consisting of elongated and cylindrical body; conical apical region coated by a screw thread and with at least three helical chambers and semi-spherical end; and a cervical region defined by a smooth cervical surface, the elongated and cylindrical body including at least one longitudinal strip having a substantially smooth surface, said smooth longitudinal strip being located in the zygomatic implant cervical portion; the connection between the screw threads and the smooth longitudinal strip is made by a transition curvature, and the smooth longitudinal strip is aligned with one of the flat sides of the internal area with hexagonal cross section of the implant prosthetic interface.
DENTAL AND ORTHOPEDIC FASTENER WITH DIRECTIONAL SHOCK ABSORBER
An implant body having a coronal end and an opposing apical end, an outer surface and a compartment extending therein from a coronal end toward the apical end, the implant body including a gap between the compartment or spherical head portion and the outer surface.
Superstructure support having special inner and outer geometry
The invention relates to a superstructure support (20) as part of a prosthetic tooth replacement (1) between an implant body (10) and a superstructure, comprising a hollow implant post (23), a hollow implant pin (50), and an implant flange (31) lying therebetween. The cavity zones (67, 62) of the implant post (23) and of the implant pin (50) transition into each other. The cavity zones have respective center lines (69, 63), which include an angle of 60 to 86 angular degrees. The cavity zone (62) of the implant pin (50) has a screw head seat surface (65) that widens toward the implant flange. At least some areas of the implant flange form a supporting enveloping surface (37), which is oriented toward the implant post (23) and the outer edge (33) of which spans a reference plane (38), which is perpendicularly intersected by the center line (69) of the post-side cavity zone (67). The center lines of the implant post (23) and of the implant pin (50) intersect or cross below the reference plane (38). By means of the invention, a superstructure support (20) for the prosthetic tooth replacement is improved in such a way that a secure and lasting screwed connection to the implant body is ensured.
ANGULATED DENTAL IMPLANT
A dental implant includes a generally cylindrical body, an interior bore, and a non-rotational feature. The generally cylindrical body has a main-central axis and is formed from cold-worked, high strength, commercially pure titanium having an ultimate tensile strength of at least about 900 MPa. The generally cylindrical body has a proximal portion and an opposing distal portion for anchoring the dental implant in bone of a patient. The interior bore is formed in the generally cylindrical body and has (i) a bore-central axis and (ii) a threaded portion for receiving a screw that is configured to removable hold an abutment in engagement with the dental implant. The non-rotational feature is configured to engage the abutment in a non-rotational fashion.
DENTAL IMPLANT
A dental implant includes an anchorage body, which has a stem provided with a thread engageable in a mandibular or maxillary site, an abutment to which a dental crown is connectable, wherein the anchorage body and the abutment are operatively connected to each other by means of a spherical connection.
Dental restoration system for installing bridge prostheses on mini dental implants
An apparatus for installing a dental prosthesis. The apparatus includes a guide stent having one or more apertures. One or more implants have a tip and an abutment end connected by a body. A bridge prosthesis has one or more bores defined therein. A retaining fixture is disposed in the bore of the prosthesis. The bridge prosthesis is attached to the one or more implants via engagement between the abutment end of the implant and the retaining fixture.
Bone screws and methods of use thereof
The invention features bone screws having a threaded screw body and a screw head attached to one end of the screw body, the bone screw further including: a) an interior channel extending longitudinally through the screw head and through at least a portion of the screw body, wherein the interior channel has a width of less than 5.0 millimeters; and b) a plurality of radially-disposed delivery channels connecting the interior channel to the exterior of the screw body, each delivery channel having exterior openings. The invention further features devices that include a bone screw and a delivery manifold detachably attached to the screw head of the bone screw. In addition, the invention features methods of treating a patient having a bone defect by using a bone screw described herein.
Inter dental implant
A multi-piece dental prosthesis system is provided. The system includes an implant which can be implanted into a bone of the patient, an abutment removably connected to the implant by a prosthetic screw, and a ti-base removably connected to the abutment. The system may be used to hold a crown, denture, or partial denture in place.
DENTAL IMPLANT AND DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM
A dental implant for implantation in the jawbone for the purpose of fastening a superstructure. The implant includes an implant body that extends between a coronal and an apical end and which defines an enossal outer surface. The implant body defines a cavity that is open coronally as well as at least one exit opening from an inside to the enossal outer surface. An outer thread is shaped on the implant body. A thermoplastic element is moreover present in the solid condition and is arranged in the cavity or introducible into the cavity, wherein the thermoplastic element can be brought into an at least partly flowable condition by way of applying a pressing force, which is directed apically into the cavity, and mechanical oscillations and can be pressed through the at least one exit opening into surrounding tissue on account of the pressing force.
