Endosseous dental implant assembly
09730771 · 2017-08-15 · ·

An endosseous dental implant assembly includes a dental implant including an abutment portion for connecting to a tooth crown and a hollow base portion defining a cavity therein, and a bio-supportive or biodegradable scaffold carried by the hollow base portion of the dental implant in the biomimetic approach. The abutment portion is formed integrally with the hollow base portion. The scaffold is impregnated with regenerative stem cells, growth factors, biomorphic proteins, or autogenous cells. In the osseointegrated approach, bone graft material can be carried to the extraction socket without a scaffold.

DENTAL IMPLANT HAVING TAPERED THREADED SURFACE WITH INSTALLATION ENHANCEMENT FEATURES
20220265397 · 2022-08-25 ·

A dental implant with a specialized thread arrangement is disclosed. The dental implant includes a cylindrical upper section and a tapered lower section coupled to the cylindrical upper section. A helical thread is located on the exterior surface of the cylindrical upper section and the tapered lower section. A path is defined by the helical thread. The helical thread has a section on the exterior surface of the cylindrical body section and a section on the tapered body section. A cutting tooth is formed on the helical thread below where the thread section on the cylindrical body section transitions into the thread section on the tapered body section. The cutting tooth allows minimal torque to be applied to create stability of the implant by cutting into the dense part of the bone.

The invention relates to a dental implant consisting of an anchoring body defined between an apical end and a cervical end, wherein said anchoring body is a body having a first predetermined length and, on the outer surface thereof and along the entirety of said first predetermined length, at least one thread, wherein said anchoring body has, over at least a coronal portion, a portion of said at least one thread that has a nominal diameter that is greater than an outer diameter of said anchoring body at a first ratio of 2.00 to 4.00, preferably 2.00 to 3.00.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPUTER MODEL FOR AN ABUTMENT AND FOR PRODUCING AN ABUTMENT
20220270253 · 2022-08-25 ·

A method produces a three-dimensional computer model of an abutment for a tooth implant by a computer, and the abutment has a base, a connecting structure, a platform surface of coronal appearance, and a screw channel. The method includes: providing a three-dimensional representation of a jaw of the patient to be read by the computer, choosing a definition of a preparation margin depending upon the patient's individual gum line, defining a three-dimensional geometry of the abutment above the preparation margin by an operator of the computer or by an algorithm, defining an emergence profile of the abutment by an operator of the computer or by an algorithm, and providing the three-dimensional computer model by the computer. A plate-like design of the platform surface is provided below the preparation margin for the three-dimensional geometry of the platform.

Medical device, device structures for dentistry, for head and neck surgery and for orthopedic surgery, and method for bonding medical device to bone

A medical device includes a shaft portion with a hollow shape and inflected portions or an exposed portion. The shaft portion is inserted into a cortical bone or penetrates through the cortical bone and is inserted to a position reaching a cancellous bone at an inner side of the cortical bone. The inflected portions are inflected to radial direction outer sides from one end portion of an axial direction of the shaft portion, and are exposed at a surface of the cortical bone. The exposed portion includes a portion that extends to the radial direction outer side from the one end portion of the axial direction of the shaft portion, and is exposed at the surface of the cortical bone.

Double dental implant that remains stable in the presence of periimplantitus

An implant formed by two implants: an upper implant and a lower implant, the upper implant being removable. The implant differs from conventional implants in that the body of the implant has a second polished collar corresponding with the beginning of the lower implant. The two implants are connected by a screw located in the lower part of the upper implant of which it forms a part, the screw engaging with the thread of the lower implant. The connection between the two implants is circular, as it must allow anticlockwise rotation when removed.

Dental implant evaluation unit

A dental implant evaluation unit is disclosed and described. The dental implant evaluation includes a body portion having threads that mimic the general thread pattern of an actual dental implant, without attempting to copy any of the osseointegrative features of the actual implant. A threaded collar is associated with the body portion, and, in certain embodiments, a safety flange is screwed to the threaded collar. The safety flange prevents the dental implant evaluation unit from infiltrating the sinus of a patient when testing the fit of a maxillary implant. The dental implant evaluation unit can be used by a dentist to evaluate the proper size and fit for an actual dental implant by installing the dental implant evaluation unit, and imaging the same, prior to installing the actual dental implant.

ENDOSTEAL HORIZONTALLY PLACED DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM AND METHOD
20220265398 · 2022-08-25 ·

An endosteal horizontally placed non-crestal dental implant system including at least one dental implant having a proximal end, a distal end, an internal architecture, and a helical thread extending along the outside region between the proximal end and the distal end. The one or more implants are configured to be implanted horizontally or near horizontally by way of a non-crestal approach, into a mandible or maxilla and to engage with bone tissue. The system also includes at least one dental implant abutment having a proximal end for attaching to the said dental implant and a distal end configured for the attachment of a dental prosthesis. A method of diagnosis and treatment of edentulism using the endosteal horizontally placed non-crestal dental implant system is also recited.

DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM

A dental implant system that can include a prosthetic assembly and a dental implant. The prosthetic assembly can include a dental component and a retention screw. The dental component and the retention screw each have interference elements that are configured to engage when a removal torque is applied to the screw. When the interference element engage each other, a portion of the removal torque is converted into a linear force that is exerted on the dental component in a removal direction thereby separating the dental component from the dental implant.

Dental implant system and method for producing a dental implant system
