Body made of a ceramic material
A body made of a ceramic material based on zirconia, the body having a surface region extending from the surface of the body to a predetermined depth and a core region integrally formed with the surface region. The ceramic material in the surface region includes a crystalline phase A formed by zirconia in tetragonal phase. The ceramic material in the surface region further includes a crystalline phase B, the crystal structure of which including apart from zirconium and oxygen at least one further component X in a periodic arrangement, the crystalline phase B having a lower theoretical density than crystalline phase A.
PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF NANOSTRUCTURES ON A DENTAL IMPLANT
A process for the preparation of a topography for improved fibrin network formation and cell mineralization on at least a portion of a dental implant made of a binary titanium-zirconium alloy, the portion being destined to be embedded in a patient's jawbone and to be in contact with the jawbone via a bone-contacting surface, the process includes the subsequent steps of a) subjecting the bone-contacting surface of the dental implant to a sandblasting treatment, b) etching the sandblasted bone-contacting surface, and c) treating the sandblasted and etched bone-contacting surface with water or an aqueous solution for a duration of more than two days, during which nanostructures continuously grow on the bone-contacting surface, the nanostructures extending in at least two dimensions to 200 nm at most. The process is characterized in that the treatment of b) is carried out at a temperature from 40 C. to 60 C.
Implant unit
Provided is an implant unit, and more particularly, a dental implant unit. The implant unit includes a fixture assembled to an alveolar bone; and an abutment assembled to the upper portion of the fixture, wherein the fixture includes a space defined by a groove-like structure formed in depth direction from the lower portion of the fixture facing the alveolar bone.
DENTAL IMPLANT HAVING A TOPOGRAPHIC SURFACE
A dental implant having a surface made of a ceramic material. At least a part of the surface includes recesses and cavities formed by removal of discrete grains having an average grain size from 0.1 m to 0.6 m and/or agglomerates of these grains from the ceramic material.
DENTAL IMPLANT
A dental implant including a first, apical portion for inserting into bone, and a second, top-side portion, starting at a level of bone surface and higher, including a stricture of the dental implant diameter, relative to a diameter of the top-side portion, for at least part of the top-side portion. Related apparatus and methods are also described.
DENTAL IMPLANT DEVICE
The present invention provides a dental implant device comprising a dental implant body and an implant fixture. Said implant fixture is characterized in that it comprises a portion to be fixed to said implant body and a portion to be fixed to a tooth adjacent to the transplantation site of said implant body in a subject, and is configured so that mechanical stimulation from the tooth adjacent to said transplantation site is transmissible to said implant body, and said implant device is characterized in that it is placed into the oral cavity of said subject so that said implant body is inserted at said transplantation site while said implant fixture is fixed to said implant body and the tooth adjacent to said transplantation site.
NARROWED IMPLANT POST
A dental implant includes a crown socket for supporting a prosthetic tooth, the crown socket comprising a first longitudinal axis for supporting the prosthetic tooth in an anatomically correct shape; an abutment; and an implant post having a second longitudinal axis coinciding with a third longitudinal axis of an osteotomy; the first longitudinal axis and the second longitudinal axis are not coincident.
Dental Implants
Dental implants include a threaded body portion having a textured surface, and an externally smooth neck portion having one or more depth gauge lines to guide insertion into a patient's jawbone, with the neck portion projecting above the jawbone, allowing the gingival tissue to be sutured over the implant, or with the neck portion projecting through the gingival tissue.
IMPROVED DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM
A dental implant having a substantially cylindrical shape with a longitudinal axis defining a longitudinal direction, including: a coronal section including a coronal end of the implant; a threaded region extending apically from the coronal section to an apical tip of the implant; and an internal blind bore for connection to a secondary part, including: a stabilizing section extending apically from the coronal end; and a drive and indexing section which extends apically from an apical end of the stabilizing section, which includes a plurality of connecting lobes having a concave shape and extending in the longitudinal direction, being interconnected by respective lobe linking areas, including: two convex sections extending in the longitudinal direction and adjacent to a respective connecting lobe; and a concave section extending in the longitudinal direction between the two convex sections. Further, a secondary part and an insertion tool of a configuration matching the dental implant.
DENTAL-ABUTMENT DESIGN SYSTEM AND METHOD
A semi-custom dental abutment is provided by capturing objective oral geometry of a patient's mouth without the need to use 3D scanning equipment, designing the semi-custom dental abutment based on the captured data and using abutment design software that has menus of discrete incremented design options such as rotational position, subgingival shape, and overall abutment dimensions, and outputting data representing the design for further processing to manufacture the semi-custom dental abutment. Aspects of the invention include the overall semi-custom dental design method as well as the semi-custom dental abutment design software used in the method.
