Dental / Prosthetic Implant
Improvements in a dental/prosthetic implant is disclosed. The implant includes interior and exterior threaded surfaces. The use of both interior and exterior expanding threaded surfaces for integrations of the insert and a prosthetic with the same implant. The implant is immediately usable under load and promotes rapid integration with bone growth. The expanded insert essentially makes contact with the tapped bone surfaces where loads can be immediately applied so a person can utilize the prosthetic implant. The implant can further include security devices GPS, ID with medical records making removal of the implant difficult to extract. A cushioning member may be further integrated. The implant/abutment can include a surface with a plurality of contacts with sufficient gold contact points to attach residual nerve endings, during implanting surgery to provide nerve identification, send, receive, target so as to exploit proprioceptive memory or retraining.
DENTAL RESTORATION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF BUILDING A RESTORATION
A dental restoration system (1) for restoring a tooth at least during healing of an implant construction (5) being set into a jaw of a patient comprises a crown abutment (3) and a locking member (2). The crown abutment (2) is configured to be positioned on a gingiva former (4) mounted to the implant construction (5). The locking member (2) has a contact face (212) and a fixing structure (24) configured to be fixed to the gingiva former (4). The crown abutment (3) has a through hole (31) configured to receive the locking member (2) such that the contact face (212) of the locking member (2) contacts the crown abutment (3) and the fixing structure (24) at least partially extends out of the crown abutment (3). The crown abutment (3) is made of an abutment material configured to bond with a crown material used to build a crown (6).
Two-part modelling aid
A two part modelling aid for connection to a dental implant component including a hollow base part and a hollow angled part, each including a tubular side wall extending between apical and coronal ends. The base part side wall includes an anti-rotation section including a non-circular symmetric cross-section in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the base part. The angled part side wall forms an apical portion that extends along a first axis and is sized and shaped to form a friction fit with the base part, and a coronal portion extending along a second axis non-coaxial to the first axis. When connected, a closed channel is formed extending from the base part to the angled part, and the first axis of the apical portion is coaxial to the longitudinal axis of the base part and the anti-rotation section is exposed on a base part surface.
Screw retained abutment with off-axis feature and methods of making and using same
An abutment is provided with a screw access hole and a slot in its sidewall adapted to allow a driver to access a screw in the screw access hole at an angle relative to a longitudinal axis of the screw. The abutment may include a screw seat and may be connected to an implant via a screw in the screw seat. A prosthesis, which may include a driver access channel that has a diameter less than the outer diameter of the drive portion of the screw, may be placed over the abutment. Methods of making a dental prosthesis and methods of attaching and removing the dental prosthesis from the implant are also disclosed.
METHOD FOR PROVIDING DENTAL ABUTMENT
Disclosed is a method for providing a dental abutment by using data about a customized abutment, comprising the steps of: receiving oral data about a patient; and acquiring a standardized abutment from a standardized abutment group generated from the customized abutment in correspondence with the inputted oral data about the patient.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION OF POSITIONING OF AN IMPLANT FOR DENTAL RESTORATION
The method of detection of positioning of a dental implant for dental restoration involves taking a manual or digital impression of the buccal space, including a cicatrisation element secured to the implant and having an emergent surface outside the gum, and automatically detecting the positioning of the implant by identifying (i) the axis of the implant corresponding to an axis of the cicatrisation element identified by the geometry of the emergent surface or association with a cicatrisation element memorized in a database; (ii) the orientation of the implant by the orientation of the emergent surface or association with a cicatrisation element memorized in a database; and/or (iii) the height of the implant by the height of the cicatrisation element, for example based on a color or an indicator of the emergent surface or association with a cicatrisation element memorized in a database.
DENTAL ANCHORING SYSTEM FOR ANCHORING A CARRIER ELEMENT TO AN ANCHORING ELEMENT
A dental anchoring system configured to anchor a carrier element at an anchoring element, the dental anchoring system including the carrier element; the anchoring element; and a fastening bolt, wherein the anchoring element includes a receiving section configured to receive the carrier element and a threaded bore, wherein the carrier element is configured to directly or indirectly attach a dental superstructure element or a dental prosthesis and wherein the carrier element includes a support section configured to be supported at the receiving section of the anchoring element, wherein the carrier element is attachable at the anchoring element by a first anchoring type using the fastening bolt by receiving the support section of the carrier element at the receiving section of the anchoring element and threading the fastening bolt into the threaded bore of the anchoring element.
DENTAL PROSTHESIS AND COMPONENT THEREOF
This invention provides a measure that makes it possible to prevent more effectively, in comparison with the prior art, the invasion of germs from the gap between a dental prosthesis and the gingiva when the dental prosthesis is used in an oral cavity as well as the infection and inflammation associated therewith.
There is a dental prosthesis or a component thereof, characterized in that: the dental prosthesis or the component thereof has hydroxyapatite fine particles on a surface of the dental prosthesis or the component thereof; the hydroxyapatite fine particles are sintered bodies; and the hydroxyapatite fine particles have a mean particle size of 10 to 1,000 nm.
Implant-based attachment system for dental implant surgical guide and method
The disclosure relates to methods for attaching a dental implant surgical guide and a dental implant to a dental surgical site including: assembling an implant combination, positioning the dental implant surgical guide including a double open-ended guide cylinder at the dental surgical site; rotating the implant combination through the double open-ended guide channel; and attaching a cap comprising a hollow cylinder to the double open-ended guide channel so the rim of the implant mount body is sandwiched between the dental surgical guide and the cap. The disclosure further relates to a dental prosthesis apparatus including: an abutment; a dental implant; a dental implant surgical guide including a first and a second double open-ended guide cylinder connected by a support bar; an implant mount including a rim; and a cap operable to engage the dental implant surgical guide and sandwich the rim between the cap and the dental implant surgical guide.
