20220151745 · 2022-05-19 · ·

An anatomical dental implant arranged to be implanted in a naturally occurring cavity of the jawbone, the implant comprising at its apical side a root part arranged to anchor the implant in the cavity and at its occlusal side an abutment part arranged for supporting a dental prosthetic element, wherein the root part comprises an outer surface arranged to come into contact with the cavity walls, and wherein the root part comprises an outer section adjacent to the outer surface of the root part, wherein the outer section of the root part is arranged to deform plastically upon insertion of the root part into the cavity such that the root part substantially conforms to the shape and size of the cavity.

Fabrication And Installation Of A Dental Implant

A dental implant for supporting periodontal tissue and the supporting bone is provided. The dental implant includes an implant member with inner canal for insertion into a periodontal bone socket, and an anchoring assembly. The anchoring assembly includes a first fastening element and radially equidistant cylindrical members. The first fastening element engages the implant member within the hollow axial cavity. The root section includes through-holes for radially and forcibly sliding the cylindrical members through them. When the first fastening element apically advances within the hollow axial cavity, the cylindrical members generate an anchoring force to anchor the dental implant.

The invention relates to a method for a computer-implemented method for configuring a fastening channel through a dental restoration for fastening a retaining means retaining the dental restoration. The method comprises receiving a 3D digital restoration model of the dental restoration with an artificial tooth and a definition of an implant. A relative positioning of the dental restoration relative to the implant is determined. A position of the fastening channel extending from the implant through the artificial tooth is determined. In case the position of the fastening channel violating a set of one or more pre-defined positioning criteria. The position of the fastening channel is automatically adjusted by angulating the fastening channel such that the positioning criteria are satisfied.

A dental anchor that is easily planted into a target space created by a lost tooth is presented. The dental anchor has a root portion made to extend into and contact bone tissue and a trunk portion directly attached to the root portion and disposed above gumline. A dental anchor planting apparatus that facilitates the precise planting of the dental anchor is also presented. The apparatus includes a main support and a chinrest, an impression tray, a dental anchor, and a nose bridge support all connected to the main support. The dental anchor of the disclosure may be used instead of a traditional dental implant to shorten procedure time and lower risks of infection and bone damage.

SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR DESIGNING AND MANUFACTURING A DENTAL IMPLANT

Dental implants may be designed using a three-dimensional scan of an extracted tooth root and/or a corresponding socket site. The dental implant may include a root portion designed to sit below the patient's gum line, a connector portion positioned above the root portion and designed to sit above a rim of a socket site and/or gum line, and an abutment portion positioned above the connector portion upon which a crown may be placed. The root portion may include three sections that correspond to three areas of a three-dimensional scan of an extracted tooth root. The first and third sections of the implant may have a size and shape that corresponds to a first and third portions of the three-dimensional scan, respectively. A circumference of the second section of the implant may be smaller than a corresponding circumference of the second section of the three-dimensional scan of the tooth root.
