Screw-attached pick-up dental coping system and methods

A temporary alignment system and method for holding a dental coping to an implant abutment using the same threads in the abutment that are used for definitive attachment are disclosed. The disclosed temporary fasteners initially orient and hold a coping against an abutment with a force along the same axis as the semi-definitive screw. The aligned coping can be picked-up in a closed-tray impression process without unscrewing the temporary fastener. Embodiments include threaded posts that release copings from the abutment through axial forces. Some embodiments include a threaded post with separable cap that is picked-up with the coping. Methods for converting an existing prosthesis for screw attachment to implants in a single visit and digital capture of the converted prosthesis are described.

Dental prosthesis

A dental prosthesis includes a dental implant, a post and core and a crown. The implant is adapted to be fixed to a bone and the post and core is adapted to be fixed to the implant with a screw that passes through the inside of the post and core, a first portion of the post and core including a first portion to be introduced into the implant and second portion protruding from the implant, providing a connection between the implant and the crown. A separation area is provided between the area where the crown is housed in the post and core and the area where the post and core is housed in the implant and the second portion of the post and core has a profile that converges from the implant toward the crown, without increases.

A hybrid temporary anchorage device implant system and method of use is disclosed. A temporary anchorage device (TAD) implant includes an external hex head, a cupped inner portion, a threaded core, a platform, and an implant portion. A first abutment is installed on the implant portion. The first abutment may include a graduated portion, a screw-retained healing collar, and a threaded portion. A second abutment may be installed over the first abutment. The second abutment may include a graduated head, a bulbous base, and an inner canal.

DENTAL PROSTHESIS AND METHOD OF ITS PRODUCTION UTILIZING STANDARIZED FRAMEWORK KEYS AND MATCHING PREMANUFACTURED TEETH

A system including a method and associated structures creates efficiencies in the manufacture of prosthetic tooth support frameworks. Pre-manufactured teeth with matching internal keys are used in the setup of a patient prototype. Each key includes a shaft, a cervical platform, a retention knob and preferably at least one channel for the expulsion of excess adhesive fluid. The cervical platforms are shaped to provide intimate contact with a base of their respective tooth. The same tooth/key pairs are then used to make a framework pattern from the setup positioning. The pattern can be cast or scanned for direct machining to produce the finished framework.

Abutment, fixture, dental implant set, dental tap, dental guide, dental tap set and dental drill

An abutment is obtained that enables an operation of detaching the abutment from a fixture to be readily performed without having a patient open his/her mouth wide while inhibiting accidental ingestion or swallowing of an abutment that comes off. In a dental implant 100 comprising a fixture 110 and an abutment 120, when a fitting recess 121 of the abutment 120 is fitted onto a fixture head 112 so that a space is formed between a top surface 112b 1 of the fixture head 112 and a bottom surface 121a of the fitting recess 121, the fixture head 112 is secured to the fitting recess 121 by a frictional force, and an instrument insertion hole 129 for inserting an instrument for disengaging the securement by the frictional force in the space is formed on a sidewall 121c of the fitting recess 121.

The present invention relates to endosseous implants and in particular, to screw form dental implants for implanting within bone. The bone implant is configured to be a self-drilling bone implant that is adept at condensing, collecting and distributing bone along all of the implant's surface and within the implantation site, to significantly increase the bone implant contact surface. The implant is configured to have a coronal portion and a body portion that are continuous with one another. The coronal portion is configured to have a smaller overall diameter than the overall diameter of said body portion. The body portion is fit with threading that facilitates the self-drilling and bone collection properties when the implant is rotates in both the clockwise and counterclockwise directions.
