Denture retention apparatus and method
A denture abutment retention apparatus and a denture including one or more denture abutment retention apparatuses configured to allow the denture to be easily engaged with and secured to a plurality of denture abutments in a user's mouth using sliding motion of the denture from the sides of the plurality of denture abutments.
DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEMS, KITS CONTAINING DENTAL IMPLANT COMPONENTS, AND METHODS OF INSTALLING SAME
A method of installing a dental prosthesis that includes having a practitioner install at least one narrow implant and at least one standard implant into a subject's bone, where the narrow implant has a narrow implant abutment that is exposed after installation, and the standard implant has a standard implant abutment exposed after installation. The practitioner places a narrow implant housing over each narrow implant abutment, and places a standard implant housing over each standard implant abutment. The practitioner flows a resin within a channel located within a dental prosthesis and places the dental prosthesis over each narrow implant housing and each standard implant housing such that the resin surrounds each narrow implant housing and each standard implant housing. Once the resin cures, each narrow implant housing and each standard implant housing is fixed within the resin and the resin is fixed within the dental prosthesis.
Adjustable system for magnetic denture retention
An adjustable denture retention system may include an elongated baseplate configured for adjustable longitudinal positioning within a mouth of a patient. The baseplate may be adapted to magnetically engage a denture in order to retain the denture in place in the mouth without the use of an adhesive. The denture may include one or more magnets and the baseplate may include a ferromagnetic material. The system may include spacers for engaging permanent dental implants within the patient's mouth and for spacing the baseplate from the gingiva to promote dental hygiene. A number of spacers of different heights allows for an adjustable height of the baseplate above the gingiva regardless of the thickness of the gingiva.
Dental Prosthesis
In the case of a dental prosthesis comprising a gum-coloured prosthesis base and a tooth coloured tooth arrangement which is partially embedded into the prosthesis base, the dental prosthesis is formed as a hybrid prosthesis, wherein the prosthesis base has a contact surface which has a surface normal pointing towards the gums.
The tooth arrangement (14) surrounds an external telescope (secondary part) or an abutment on at least 2 sides (26, 28, 30), is formed as a one-piece tooth quadrant or as a segmented tooth quadrant (16) and consists of a harder material than the prosthesis base (12).
DENTAL ALIGNMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DENTAL IMPLANT PLACEMENT
A dental alignment guide system for dental implant placement has an anatomical guide, a tooth supported guide and a surgical guide. The system further can have an articulation piece, a prosthetic seat, an analog anatomical model and artificial teeth. The system has a plurality of implants, the implants being abutments, preferably multiunit abutments, a plurality of screws for attaching the anatomical guide to bone, pins to removably attach the various guides and the artificial teeth to the anatomical guide as assemblies during the method of practicing the invention.
ROW OF CONNECTED ARTIFICIAL TEETH
To provide a more convenient row of connected artificial teeth which is used for implantation, in this row of connected artificial teeth, a plurality of artificial teeth (11) that are formed of resin are integrally connected, an occlusal face (11a) is formed over one face of each of the artificial teeth, and a hole (12) is provided for at least one of the artificial teeth on an opposite side of the occlusal face, into the hole a coupling member with an artificial tooth root being to be inserted.
Denture having polished cameo surface and unpolished intaglio surface
Base material arrangements having at least two layers can accommodate the addition of antifungal material (nanofiller), such as in denture base resin without significantly compromising the mechanical properties and/or translucency of the base material arrangements. Antifungal agents such as nanosilver and nanozirconia can be used to modify a surface layer of the material arrangements, such as the denture base, to overcome certain known shortcomings of the modified materials, e.g., typical acrylic resins containing nanosilver and nanozirconia.
Low-profile retentive abutment
A low-profile retentive abutment is used for securing dentures to a user's jaw. The low-profile abutment has an abutment fastener is used to mount an overdenture onto the user's jaw and has a body, a dimpled recession, and a retentive clasp. The dimple recession traverses into the body and forms a mounting point to attach the clasp to the body. The clasp is a connector that enables the overdenture to be detachably mounted onto the body. The clasp has a stop plate, a C-shaped frame, and a dimple protrusion. The stop plate ensures that the clasp is maintained in a desired orientation while attached to the body. The frame is connected in between the stop plate and the dimple protrusion so that the dimple protrusion engages into the dimple recession. Accordingly, the frame facilitates maintaining the clasp in an orientation that facilitates securely attaching the overdenture to the user's jaw.
SYSTEM FOR THE CLEANING AND DISINFECTING OF GUM SURFACES SURROUNDING IMPLANT STRUCTURES THAT SUPPORT DENTURES
The preset invention is a system for easy and effective cleaning and disinfecting the gum-denture contact surfaces of a fixated-in-place denture plate, especially for cleaning and disinfecting the surfaces immediately surrounding the implants structures in the gum of the denture wearer that support the denture plate. The system is composed of: a denture plate having a smooth gum contact surface, at least one Denture-Alveolar-Implant Liquid Dispenser (DAILD) and a conduit liquid (or gas) streaming system. Optionally, the system also includes at least one Denture Liquid Sieve-Dispensers (DLSD). Each DAIL is constructed of: a dental implant structure, a locking component, a basin-structure and fastening-component. When liquid (or gas) is injected into the basin structure it flows from DAIL and cleans and disinfects the surrounding area of the DAILD in the denture plate.
