[Problem]

A technique for imparting high translucency which is similar to an enamel of a natural tooth to a zirconia sintered body, has been required.

[Solution]

To provide a zirconia mill blank for dental cutting and machining, containing, an yttrium compound and an indium compound as stabilizers, wherein, an amount of the yttrium compound is within a range of 3.0 mol % to 6.0 mol % in terms of oxide, an amount of the indium compound is within a range of 0.2 mol % to 3.0 mol % in terms of oxide, and a total amount of the yttrium compound and the indium compound is within a range of 5.5 mol % to 7.0 mol % in terms of oxide.

The method for manufacturing this ceramic body for dental prosthesis includes: preparing a ceramic material; shaping the ceramic material by press shaping or by a machine tool; temporarily sintering the ceramic material at a temperature from a sintering temperature that provides theoretical density −700° C. or more to the sintering temperature −100° C. or less; and shaping the ceramic material to have a circular planar shape and a disk-like external shape so as to prepare the ceramic body for dental prosthesis having a diameter of 50 mm or more.

The controller is configured to rotate the gripper and spray a glaze solution from the first spray gun using a glazing profile based at least in part on a type of the dental prosthesis. The glazing profile is selected such that a cross-sectional thickness of a resulting-glazed material of the dental prosthesis has an average thickness range between 15 to 63 μm and a standard deviation of less than 6 μm when measured at locations in an upper half of the dental prosthesis.
