A dental prosthesis is provided, manufactured from a one-piece or multi-piece prosthesis blank which is composed of a gum-colored material (14) and a tooth-colored material (14), especially each one being based on plastic material. The tooth-colored material (14) of the blank (10) has a diameter or a width of more than 5 cm and especially a substantially flat cylindrical shape with a diameter/height ratio of more than 2:1, preferably more than 3:1. The gum-colored and tooth-colored materials (14, 12) are bonded together by bonding, polymerization and/or integral production. The boundary (16) between the materials, as viewed in the direction of the dental arch course, is wave-shaped with alternating grooves and ribs (22, 24), and in the region of the anterior arch in the vestibular directionis of radiant shape. The boundary (16) between the tooth-colored and the gum-colored material (12,14), as viewed from distal to mesial direction across the course of the dental arch, undulatingly rises towards the gum-colored material, with an average inclination of 20 degrees or more. The tooth-colored material (12) has a greater gingival occlusal height in the molar region (30) than in the anterior region (32).

DIGITAL CORRECTION FACTORS AND MOUNTING WITH DIGITAL CORRECTION FACTORS OF REAL PREFABRICATED PROSTHETIC TEETH

The invention relates to correction factors, in particular digital correction factors or printed correction factors, as translation (x,y,z) data and/or as data of the rotation of at least one real prefabricated prosthetic tooth up to a plurality of real prefabricated prosthetic teeth in a mounting for material-ablating processing of the prosthetic teeth, the correction factors preferably being assigned to the mounting as bar code or as quick-response code for use in a digitally controlled material-ablating process, the mounting having at least one fixed real prefabricated tooth. The invention also relates to the mounting with assigned digital correction factors as well as to a method for determining the digital correction factors of the at least one real prefabricated prosthetic tooth.

A method of fabricating a denture, comprising milling a preliminary try-in denture from denture material comprising a layer of denture base material contiguous with a layer of denture tooth material. Denture base material is removed from the block to form a first part of the, labial, buccal, gingival, and flange regions of the denture base to form a preliminary denture. A preliminary mold is created from this preliminary denture. The preliminary denture is then further modified with deformable waxes in gingival and anterior tooth recesses to form a preliminary try-in denture, which is fitted to a patient and adjusted to optimal dimensions. The adjusted try-in denture is then reproduced by further molding methods, producing the final denture.
