DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF IMPLANTATION
20180280121 · 2018-10-04 ·

Dental implant assemblies and methods of implanting the same ease and simplify implantation procedures while also reducing the risk of errors during implantation. One implant assembly includes a male-to-male connector to allow for use of a female locking nut that is larger than a typical locking screw during fixation of the dental implant. Another implant assembly combines use of the male-to-male connector with an abutment to improve alignment and fixation. Yet another implant assembly includes an adapter that surrounds the male-to-male connector to make the advancement of the dental implant to the implant site easier and more user-friendly. With such implant assemblies, dental prostheses can be more easily advanced and properly positioned at desired implant sites, while implantation processes are made safer and more simplified.

Bone-secured dental arch veneers and methods for fabricating and utilizing the same. The dental arch veneers include a veneer assembly having one or more tooth veneers and a support structure configured to support the tooth veneer(s). The dental arch veneers also include a coupling structure configured to interconnect the veneer assembly to a bone mount that is anchored along a user's maxilla or mandible. The coupling structure also is configured to permit the veneer assembly to be selectively and repeatedly interconnected with and disconnected from the bone mount. The methods include determining a target region within the user's mouth, obtaining a representation of the target region, manipulating the representation to create a desired arrangement of the user's teeth within the target region, determining anchoring positions proximate the target region for anchoring the bone mount, and forming the dental arch veneer based on the anchoring positions and the desired arrangement.

PASSIVE FIT OF IMPLANT BRIDGES AND IMPLANT BARS BY MEANS OF A CAD/CAM TOOL FOR THE MODEL-FREE CREATION OF IMPLANT-SUPPORTED RESTORATIONS
20180042707 · 2018-02-15 · ·

The invention relates to a specimen part (1) for creating a stress-free fit, a so-called passive fit, of implant-supported and/or abutment-supported bridges (2) and bars (3) by means of a CAD/CAM tool for the creation of restorations (5), and to a method for creating a restoration from a digital model (15) of a patient's jaw provided with at least two implants and/or abutments, wherein the model (15) is determined by means of an intraoral scan (14). In order to improve the precision of restorations and to shorten the production process, provision is made that the specimen part (1) per implant (4) and/or abutment has a scannable structure (6), preferably at a defined distance (7) and angle (8) to the implant (4) and/or abutment. In the method according to the invention, a specimen part (1) is produced from the model (15) by means of CAD/CAM, the specimen part (1) is checked in terms of its dimensional match to at least two implants (4) and/or abutments and if necessary is corrected, the specimen part (1) is scanned, and a digital model (15) of the optionally altered specimen part (1) is generated, which model is used to generate a restoration (16) manufactured by CAD/CAM.

COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING OF REMOVABLE PARTIAL DENTURE FRAMEWORKS WITH ENHANCED BIOMECHANICAL PROPERTIES

A method is provided for designing and fabricating a removable partial denture (RPD) framework including clasp retainers configured for removable engagement with abutment teeth of a patient. The method includes obtaining an initial digital model of the RPD framework based on patient image data. For each clasp retainer, a set of relevant geometric parameters is identified, each relevant geometric parameter being provided with a nominal value, and a target value of dislodging force is provided. The method further includes performing a force analysis on the initial digital model to determine corrected values for the relevant geometric parameters of each clasp retainer such that when the corrected values are assigned to the relevant geometric parameters, the dislodging force matches its target value. The method also includes obtaining a corrected digital model based on the corrected values, and fabricating the RPD framework based on the corrected digital model.

The present invention relates to a partial denture and a method of manufacturing the same. The partial denture according to the present invention includes a frame having a connection piece with an indeterminate shape which protrudes from one side thereof; a base formed on the frame, excluding the connection piece, and having at least one or more artificial teeth installed on an upper surface thereof; and a clasp formed at the connection piece, wherein the base and the clasp are made of different materials.

Precision attachment system with indirect retainer
09622838 · 2017-04-18 ·

A precision attachment system for mounting a dental prosthesis to a retention bar having a round section and an off-centered support section, and a C-shaped retention clip which is incorporated into the dental prosthesis and encloses the round section. A spacer clip is adapted for both the retention clip and the retention bar. The contact of the dental prosthesis with the indirect retainer surface of the support section prevents the free-end saddles from lifting off the alveolar ridge. The resilience of the dental prosthesis in the direction of the atrophying alveolar ridge remains possible. The indirect retainer surface and the slotted flange of the housing guide the retention clip to the round section when assembled with the retention bar.
