A method of treating a tubular medical device with a biomolecule comprises the steps of: a) providing a polyolefin tubular substrate forming a tubular medical device; b) cleaning the tubular polyolefin substrate; c) exposing the tubular polyolefin substrate to a reactive gas containing at least one of acrylic acid and siloxane and to plasma energy to yield a plasma-deposited coating on at least one surface of the tubular polyolefin substrate; and d) attaching a biomolecule to the polyolefin substrate following formation of the plasma-deposited coating on at least one surface of the tubular polyolefin substrate, and wherein the biomolecule is at least one of an antibacterial agent, antimicrobial agent, anticoagulant, heparin, antithrombotic agent, platelet agent, anti-inflammatory, enzyme, catalyst, hormone, growth factor, drug, vitamin, antibody, antigen, protein, nucleic acid, dye, a DNA segment, an RNA segment, protein, and peptide.

The invention discloses a dental floss device composed of nylon-like material which confers many characteristics so far missing from currently existing dental floss systems. The invention also discloses a dental floss system which provides for an improved cleaning mechanism which takes full advantage of the material disclosed herein.

A flexible and non extendable band for flossing teeth, which can be made in various materials, sizes and proportions, that may have various features, and that may be coated or soaked in various substances. It is used between teeth and under the gum line to clean such areas effectively and easily.

A topical vitamin D and UBIQUINOL supplement composition useful in treating oral inflammation and reducing oxidative stress comprising: a supplement mixture of vitamin D and UBIQUINOL in an aqueous-free emulsion containing: spilanthes extract, stabilizing compositions for UBIQUINOL and trans-oral mucosal absorption facilitators for the supplement mixture; where the emulsion forms a mucoadhesive gel in the presence of saliva, that effects passive diffusion through the oral mucosa of the supplement mixture and spilanthes extract regulating: in vivo availability and immune response of the supplement mixture, and maintaining adequate levels of circulating vitamin D and of adjunctively administered UBIQUINOL, while minimizing the risk of hypercalcemia.

A dental flosser assembly that includes a handle member having a proximal end and a distal end, a U-shaped portion removably secured to the distal end of the handle member, the U-shaped portion having a first arm and a second arm spaced apart from each other, a floss strand attachment member associated with and movable with respect to the handle member between at least a first position and a second position, and a floss strand having a length and a first end and a second end. The first end of the floss strand is fastened to the first arm and the second end of the floss strand is attached to the floss strand attachment member.
