Dental hygiene system, device, and/or method
A flosser is described comprising, floss, a body, a piece source spool and a single piece take-up spool. The source spool and take-up spool may snap into a source cavity and a take-up cavity, respectively. The source and take-up spools may be rotatably secured in the respective cavities using detent rings and snap rings. A cantilever flexure assembly is integrated into the body and includes a push button assembly and a ratchet flexure. The push button assembly controls rotation of the source spool for dispensing and tensioning floss. The ratchet flexure controls rotation of the take-up spool for collecting and tensioning floss.
Dental Hygiene Assembly
A dental hygiene assembly for cleaning and flossing teeth includes a pad that is infused with a liquid mouthwash. Thus, the pad may be wiped along a set of teeth and a tongue thereby facilitating the pad to clean the set of teeth and the tongue. A string is removably coupled to the pad such that the string may be removed from the pad.
Toothpick device
A toothpick device for cleaning teeth includes a toothpick. The toothpick is comprised of two separable portions and has at least one pointed end. A length of dental floss is provided with each end of the dental floss being secured to one of the two portions of the toothpick by melted wax. The dental floss is wound for storage between said two portions whereby separating the two portions unwinds the dental floss for use.
Dental isolator
A dental isolator in the form of a U-shaped absorbent member having a first portion and a second portion disposed on either side of a third central portion and a retainment member, which retainment member transversely engages both the first portion and the second portion of the absorbent member, the retainment member being adapted to fit between adjacent teeth of a dental patient, the first portion of the U-shaped absorbent member being adapted to be disposed on the internal side of the teeth of a dental patient between the teeth and the tongue of the patient, the second portion of the U-shaped absorbent member to be disposed between the cheek and the mucobuccal fold of the patient with the central portion of the U-shaped absorbent member surrounding a rear tooth of the patient, the distal end of the second portion of the U-shaped absorbent member being tapered.
FLOSSING SYSTEM, DEVICE, AND/OR METHOD
Disclosed is a flossing system, device, and/or method. In one general aspect, a flosser includes a source spool for dispensing floss and a take-up spool for collecting the floss. The flosser further includes a body having a source button assembly, where the source button assembly is cantilevered from the body and configured to permit rotation of the source spool when flexed, and prevent rotation of the source spool when released. The flosser also includes a ratchet flexure cantilevered from the body, where the take-up spool and the ratchet flexure are configured to ratchet rotation of the take-up spool in one direction, and where the source button assembly and/or the ratchet flexure are made from a single piece of the body. In some embodiments, the take-up spool can be rotated by a thumb to advance the floss such that the floss can be advanced with one hand.
EXPANDABLE DENTAL FLOSS HAVING FILAMENTS INFUSED WITH NIGELLA SATIVA AND ANTISEPTIC AND METHOD OF FORMING
An expandable dental floss includes a plurality of texturized threads twisted together forming a floss element. Each texturized thread includes a plurality of pre-oriented yarn (POY) filaments. A first set of texturized threads has the plurality of POY filaments infused with Nigella sativa. A second set of the texturized threads has the plurality of POY filaments infused with an antiseptic composition.
DENTAL FLOSS DEVICE
The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a dental floss device. The device is comprised of a dental floss with a looped design that facilitates access to difficult-to-reach areas, particularly at the back of the mouth. The design also enables for improved grip and control during use. The floss of the device is waxed enabling it to remove plaque and debris. Additionally, the device is comprised of a circular body or band that encourages correct finger placement, thus enhancing maneuverability. Thus, the dental floss device provides a greatly improved flossing experience.
BIODEGRADABLE DENTAL FLOSSING DEVICE
A biodegradable dental floss device formed from a body formed from cardboard and a segment of dental floss. The body comprises a grip, a first arm extending from the grip; a spacer extending from the grip perpendicular to the first arm; and a second arm extending from the spacer parallel to the first arm such that a void is formed between the first arm, the spacer and the second arm. The segment of dental floss is secured to the first arm and to the second arm such that the segment of dental floss extends across the void. The segment of dental floss is secured to the first arm via journalling through a first hole in the first arm and being bonded to the first arm, and secured to the second arm via journalling through a second hole in the second arm and being bonded to the second arm.
Monofilament Dental Tapes, Dental Floss Rolls and Dental Floss Sticks
The present application discloses a monofilament dental tape (1), characterized in that the monofilament dental tape (1) has an elongate strip shape extending along a first direction, and includes a wavy section (10) in a cross section along a second direction, the second direction being perpendicular to the first direction; the wavy section (10) includes a first wavy portion (100) and a second wavy portion (101); the first wavy portion (100) includes a plurality of wave units connected in sequence; the second wavy portion (101) includes one or more secondary wave units superimposed on each wave unit of the first wavy portion (100); the wavelength of each wave unit of the first wavy portion (100) is greater than the wavelength of each secondary wave unit of the second wavy portion (101); the amplitude of each wave unit of the first wavy portion (100) is greater than the amplitude of each secondary wave unit of the second wavy portion (101). The present application also discloses a dental floss roll formed by the monofilament dental tape and a dental floss stick formed by the monofilament dental tape.
