Compound dental floss is a single loop or double loop self-ligaturing tie tied to its loop one, two or multiple regular ties. It is used for rubber dam isolation to hold rubber dam sheet in place around the teeth and prevent it from moving or sliding during dental treatment.

The present invention relates to an oral care device. The oral care device features a toothbrush head cover to protect the bristles of a toothbrush and an integrated dental floss storage and dispenser. The oral care device can also come with a paired toothbrush. The floss storage and dispenser allows the user to pull and cut a desired length of dental floss for flossing their teeth while the toothbrush head is securely placed in the toothbrush head cover. The dental floss can be replaced when required and the case can have manual or battery operated lids to access the toothbrush and the floss. The case protects the toothbrush bristles from dirt and debris while also providing dental floss to the user.

A “Flossing Device with Spring-Type Head” is a device used to floss the teeth. A handle with a storage chamber in which the coiled floss thread is stored, is fixedly attached to a Spring-Type Head that includes a substantially U-shape flexible arm and two substantially cylindrical shape fixtures. Each piece of the floss thread is placed and secured between the said fixtures. Due to the flexibility of the said arm, a constant suitable tension of the floss thread is maintained at all times. Using the device, while flossing becomes possible with one hand, it gives the user a much more effective and easier flossing experience.

The present invention includes a medicated dental floss and a method of making a medicated dental floss comprising: stretching a dental floss; dipping the dental floss in a biocompatible polymer—solvent bath to coat the braided dental floss; drying the coated braided dental floss; dipping the coated dental floss in a medicated solution comprising an encapsulated medicament; and drying the medicated encapsulant on the coated dental floss.

A composition including a strain of Lactobacillus salivarius SA-03 has at least one of the physiologically active effects of anti-oxidation, oral health, immunity regulation, and promotion of exercise. Therefore, the above-mentioned composition can be used for the foregoing physiological activity and is used in a form of food, medicine, and oral cleaning composition.

A dual head dental floss pick. The dual head dental floss pick includes a body having a first end opposite a second end, wherein a pair of arms extend orthogonally from the body. A length of floss extends between a distal end of each of the pair of arms and the second end of the body, wherein the first end tapers to terminate in a scraping edge. In some embodiments, a pair of supports extend between the body and the pair of arms to provide additional support thereto.

A composite polishing strand has a polishing strip for polishing a dental restoration, such as a filling, and may incorporate a floss leader coupled to a polishing strip. The floss leader may be snapped down between teeth and the polishing strip may then be pulled into the interproximal contact area for polishing a dental restoration. A composite polishing strip may also include a threader having an insert end that can be inserted into an interproximal contact area, such as an interproximal subjacent contact area, and pushed through to the opposing side. The threader may then be pulled to locate the polishing strip in the interproximal contact area for polishing the dental restoration. The composite polishing strip having both a threader and floss leader enables two different methods of locating the polishing strip in the interproximal contact area and therefore is very versatile.

A dental floss includes a first strand of material twisted with a second strand of material at a twist density of between 60 twists/meter to 300 twists/meter, inclusive.

Provided is a device suitable for direct topical administration of a pharmaceutical composition comprising at least one active component selected from the group consisting of cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, CB1 receptor agonists, CB2 receptor agonists and combinations thereof to a region of the oral cavity of a subject and methods of use thereof. The device comprises a solid substrate having at least a portion configured and dimensioned to be contacted with the region of the oral cavity of the subject; and an amount of the pharmaceutical composition associated with at least a portion of the solid substrate, wherein the amount of pharmaceutical composition is at least partially releasable from the portion of solid substrate.
