A dental cleaning tool includes a body portion defining a longitudinal axis of the dental cleaning tool. The body portion includes a floss assembly including a first arm and a second arm extending substantially perpendicularly relative to the longitudinal axis, a receiving slot formed in the first arm, and a shield formed on the first arm. The shield is configured to cover the receiving slot such that access to the receiving slot is restricted from a first direction. The tool also includes a secondary cleaning tool coupled to the first arm. The secondary cleaning tool is pivotable relative to the first arm in at least two degrees of freedom such that the secondary cleaning tool is insertable into the receiving slot from a second direction different than the first direction.

A dental floss member and a dental floss holder are disclosed. The dental floss member includes a linear type dental floss having a predetermined length, a first fixer disposed at one end of the dental floss, and a second fixer disposed at the other end of the dental floss. The dental floss holder includes a body having a first corresponding fixer to which the first fixer is fixed and a mounting part on which a section for use of the dental floss is mounted, and a second corresponding fixer disposed at the body and to which the second fixer is fixed.

The present invention relates to the field of dental care, in particular, to a dental care product such as toothpaste (dentifrice), prophylactic paste, tooth powder, tooth polish, tooth gel, chewing gum, candy, lozenge, mouthwash, whitening strip, coated dental floss, coated toothbrush, paint-on gel, varnish, veneer, and tube, syringe or dental tray comprising a gel or paste, mouthwash, whitening strips and trays for whitening teeth, wherein the product comprises mineral particles such as crystals and a compound, preferably, a protein capable of forming a matrix which is a hydrogel, wherein the product comprises a fluorophore. The mineral particles may comprise, e.g., calcium phosphate, preferably, hydroxyapatite, preferably, in crystalline form. The protein matrix may comprise, e.g., a self-assembling peptide. The product also comprises a fluorophore, which may be a fluorescent amino acid residue of the protein matrix. The invention also relates to cosmetic use of the dental care product for whitening teeth or for use in treatment of a sensitive tooth or sensitive teeth and/or in prevention or treatment of caries, as well as a related method for tooth whitening.

An apparatus for use with braces or aligners includes a member of flexible material that includes at least one ingredient to improve oral care during treatment with braces or aligners. The material comprises a single layer of a hydrogel material. The flexible member has adhesive properties to permit application over the teeth, braces, gums, soft tissues, and/or aligners positioned in the mouth, and remains in place in the mouth for about 30 minutes or more.

Provided herein is a dental floss coating composition comprising one or more polyethylene glycol polymers and a peroxide source, wherein the melting temperature of the one or more polyethylene glycol polymers, in combination, is from 38 C to 50 C, and wherein the one or more polyethylene glycol polymers are present in the composition in an amount of from 80 weight % to 97 weight % by total weight of the composition. The composition may be used in molten form to coat dental floss while maintaining the stability of the peroxide source.

The subject invention provides materials and methods that effectively support innate immunity and/or disperse pathogenic biofilms using readily available, nontoxic, natural substances, while supporting restoration of normal microbiotic homeostasis. In one embodiment, the subject invention provides anti-biofilm compositions comprising one or more prebiotic or probiotic organisms. Dental floss provided in the form of a continuous loop includes at least one tab positioned on the loop. The at least one tab provides a gripping feature for the continuous loop of floss material. A separate pick device can be configured to receive the continuous loop of floss material with the at least one tab positioned thereon. A cutout portion of the pick device provides the usable area for the floss once positioned in the holder. The pick device is configured to receive the continuous loop of dental floss material to assist in the use of the dental.

The yarn described in this invention has linear density or title in the range from 400 to 1200 dtex, and it is twisted with a twist level from 10 to 160 twists per meter.
