Once the flossers provided with the cup are expended, an end user may either replace the expended flossers with new un-used ones, or they may replace the cup entirely.
Dental Brushing Equipment with Attached Dental Floss Dispensing System
The disclosure relates generally to products for dental hygiene. In one embodiment, a toothbrush includes a toothbrush head with toothbrush bristles, a toothbrush handle that is connected to the toothbrush head, and a dental floss dispensing system. The dental floss dispensing system is connected to the toothbrush handle. In other embodiments, a dental floss dispensing system is connected to either a toothpaste tube body or a toothpaste cap of a toothpaste tube.
ENGAGE FLOSSING DEVICE
A flossing device 100 is described having a flossing head 130 connected to a handle 110 The flossing head 130 includes a pair of elongated side posts 135 each having a proximal end and a distal end, a cross bar attaching the proximal ends of the side posts 135, an end ribbon 141 stretched between distal ends of the side posts 135 and a panel 139 connected between the side posts 135 but spaced away from the end ribbon 141 creating a gap 137 which collects and removes tartar and food particles which are scraped off of the surface of the user's teeth. The unique design allows the handle to hold the flossing head 130 at the proper angle to insert it between the user's teeth. The panel 139 may be constructed from a plurality of parallel flossing ribbons, flossing string, or a combination of both. The panels 139 may be embossed or die cut to increase abrasion and efficiency.
Dental tape and floss holder with installation cassette
A floss holder includes a housing and a spindle for receiving floss and a fork having two ends between which the feed portion of the floss is secured for use. A first locking plate is operable for receiving a feed portion and a return portion of the floss upon a horizontal surface thereof. A second locking plate is operable to engage the first locking plate, where a distal end of the second locking plate engages the feed portion and the return portion to substantially constrain the feed portion of the floss on the fork and the return portion, applying tension along the feed portion and the return portion. A number of protrusions assist in retaining the feed portion and preventing the tape floss from slippage while reducing the friction around the fork; the protrusions are located at the base of the fork and inside the floss holder.
Phone grip floss dispenser apparatus
A phone grip floss dispenser apparatus for securing a cellphone and conveniently dispensing dental floss includes a base. An adhesive is coupled to the base and is configured to secure the base to a cellphone. An expandable grip body has a foldable lower portion and upper portion to move the grip body between a collapsed position and an extended position. A cap bottom is coupled to the upper portion and has a threaded outer lip having a notch. A floss spool is coupled to the cap bottom and has a spool body and a length of dental floss windingly coupled around the spool body. A cap top is coupled to the cap bottom and has an inner threading selectively engageable with the outer lip of the cap bottom to secure the floss spool. The dental floss is dispensed through the notch.
Dental Floss Holder and Flosser
A dental floss holder and flosser is provided. The flosser provides a reusable dental device for cleaning between the user's teeth. The flosser comprises a casing, a pair of tines, and a floss advancement reel. A bundle of floss resides within the casing. A length of dental floss from the bundle of floss is fed through the casing and into the floss advancement reel. The length of dental floss is wrapped around the floss advancement reel. The length of dental floss is then strung taut along the pair of tines, forming a fresh segment of dental floss. The remaining length is routed and wrapped back to the floss advancement reel. A user can then rotate the floss advancement reel such that the segment of dental floss is replaced and ready for the next use.
Automatic dental flosser
An automatic dental flosser (10,11,37) includes a floss cartridge or attachment (14,15,17,19) detachably connectable to a power driver (12,13). The attachment comprises a plastic bifurcated member (16,82) supporting a dental floss span for flossing teeth. A rotatably supported floss supply spool (58) is connected to the bifurcated member for continuously replacing used floss spans with clean floss spans. A rotatably supported floss take-up spool (50,72) is connected to the bifurcated member for being driven by the driver to wind used floss drawn from the bifurcated member. Means for encapsulating the used floss and for distributing antimicrobial fluid (69) on the used floss are included to inhibit microbial activity. Means are provided to distribute used floss along a take-up spool for high-capacity used floss storage until disposal of the cartridge. In the unlikely event of a floss snag, such as on a dental appliance, a built-in floss cutter (88) can instantly detach the flosser.
TOOTH-CLEANING DEVICE CAPABLE OF STORING OR BEING OPERATIVELY MOUNTED WITH INTERDENTAL BRUSH
A tooth-cleaning device capable of storing or being operatively mounted with an interdental brush includes a floss-pick unit and an interdental-brush unit. The floss-pick unit is provided with a floss-holding portion and a first assembly portion at two opposite ends respectively. The first assembly portion is in communication with an accommodating space in the floss-pick unit. The interdental-brush unit is provided with a second assembly portion and a third assembly portion at two opposite ends respectively. The second assembly portion is protrudingly provided with a bristle section. When the first and second assembly portions are mounted together, the bristle section extends through the first assembly portion to be stored in the accommodating space. Once the first and third assembly portions are mounted together, the bristle section is exposed outside the floss-pick unit. The floss-pick function and interdental-brush function of the tooth-cleaning device can thus be conveniently used.
DENTAL FLOSS
A dental floss 2 containing a multifilament is a flat braided cord. The number of threads constituting the flat braided cord is preferably 6 to 33, and the dental floss preferably has a width of 0.5 to 4.0 mm, and a passage gap of 0.01 to 0.1 mm. The flat cord may contain a monofilament or a multifilament-connected thread together with the multifilament. Constituent threads of the braided cord are obliquely arranged and fixed, and, when the cord is moved in a length direction, the obliquely fixed constituent threads efficiently remove food residue, dental plaque, and the like between teeth. Furthermore, the flat braided cord is flat and thin, and easy to insert between teeth. Accordingly, a dental floss that can efficiently remove food residue, dental plaque, and the like between teeth is provided.
