Clad article and method for forming clad article
A clad article is disclosed including an article and a cladding layer. The article includes a surface layer, at least one cavity disposed within the article below the surface layer, and at least one microcrack disposed in the surface layer. The surface layer includes an HTW alloy. The cladding layer is disposed on a surface of the surface layer, and is formed from a PSP brazed to the article. The cladding layer is disposed over the at least one microcrack. A method for forming the clad article is disclosed including disposing the PSP on the article and brazing the PSP to the article. Brazing the PSP to the article forms the cladding layer disposed on the article over the at least one microcrack.

Airfoil with improved coating system
A coating system for a surface of a superalloy component is provided. The coating system includes a MCrAlY coating on the surface of the superalloy component, where M is Ni, Fe, Co, or a combination thereof. The MCrAlY coating generally has a higher chromium content than the superalloy component. The MCrAlY coating also includes a platinum-group metal aluminide diffusion layer. The MCrAlY coating includes Re, Ta, or a mixture thereof. Methods are also provided for forming a coating system on a surface of a superalloy component.

Method for aluminizing a surface by means of the advance deposition of a platinum and nickel layer
A method for depositing an aluminizing coating onto a substrate. The method includes: (a) depositing a layer, containing platinum and at least 35% of nickel, onto a surface of the substrate; and (b) depositing an aluminum coating onto the layer.
METHOD FOR COATING A COMPONENT FOR THE HOT GAS DUCT OF A TURBOMACHINE
The invention relates to a method for coating a component, which is provided for the hot gas duct of a turbomachine, wherein the coating material is applied onto the uncoated component surface in the form of particles in mixture with a binding agent, and the component with the particle-treated binding agent thereupon then undergoes thermal treatment in such a way that the binding agent is released and the coating material remains on the component.
SLURRY BASED DIFFUSION COATINGS FOR BLADE UNDER PLATFORM OF INTERNALLY-COOLED COMPONENTS AND PROCESS THEREFOR
A component includes a diffusion coating comprising an inter-diffusion zone between the diffusion coating and a substrate and a non-metallic inclusions zone adjacent to an outer surface of the diffusion coating. A method of coating a component includes applying an aluminizing slurry to a localized area of a component and applying a chromizing slurry to the localized area of the component subsequent to heat treating the aluminizing slurry.
COMPONENT WITH INTEGRATED ALUMINUM DIFFUSION LAYER AND ALUMINUM OXIDE LAYER
A component with a component (1) of low-alloy steel and/or heat-treatable steel is provided, wherein the component (1) is at least partially coated with an aluminum diffusion layer (10) and an aluminum oxide layer (14) is applied to the aluminum diffusion layer (10), wherein the layer thickness of the aluminum diffusion layer (10) is 1-200 ?m, wherein the aluminum diffusion layer (10) has an aluminum content, based on the total weight of the aluminum diffusion layer, of 10 wt. % above the aluminum content of the steel up to a maximum concentration, wherein the aluminum content in the aluminum diffusion layer (10) increases in the direction of the interface (12) between the aluminum diffusion layer (10) and the aluminum oxide layer (14) from 10% by weight up to the maximum concentration, and wherein the maximum concentration is 11-60% by weight.
COATING FOR A NICKEL-BASE SUPERALLOY
An arrangement comprising a component (203) adjacent to a ceramic matrix composite in a gas turbine engine is shown. The component comprises a nickel-base superalloy substrate (301) and a cobalt-modified beta-nickel-aluminide coating (302) on the substrate to prevent interdiffusion between the substrate and the ceramic matrix composite. The substrate is coated by depositing a cobalt layer on the substrate, depositing an aluminium layer on the cobalt layer and then forming a cobalt-modified beta nickel aluminide coating.
