Systems and methods for removing foreign objects from root canals
10806544 · 2020-10-20 · ·

In some embodiments, a method for removing a foreign object from a root canal of a tooth is disclosed. The method can include positioning a fluid generator to be in fluid communication with the root canal of the tooth. Fluid can be supplied to the root canal. The method can include generating fluid motion and/or pressure waves in the fluid in the root canal with the fluid motion generator. The foreign object can be removed from the root canal with the pressure waves and/or the fluid motion.

DENTAL TREATMENT SYSTEM

A dental treatment system can include a console, a tooth coupler, and an interface member that provides at least one of fluidic, electrical, mechanical, and data communication between the tooth coupler and the console. The tooth coupler (which may comprise a handpiece or a treatment cap) can act as a working end of the system to administer a suitable treatment procedure, such as a cleaning procedure, an obturation procedure, a restoration procedure, etc. The tooth coupler can removably engage the interface member such that the clinician can easily engage and disengage the tooth coupler and interface member.

DUAL SPRAY NOZZLE TIP ASSEMBLY
20200290066 · 2020-09-17 ·

Provided is a dual spray nozzle tip assembly having a geometry that is split into several sub components to enable robust manufacturing and assembly of the resulting nozzle. The nozzle tip assembly is configured to be attached to a device configured to provide a pressurized fluid and gas therefrom. The nozzle tip assembly comprising an elongated body defining a fluid lumen and at least one gas lumen between a distal end and a proximal end. The elongated body including at least an attachment profile, a straight portion, and an outlet region. The outlet region defines a shear nozzle in communication with the fluid lumen and at least one gas outlet in communication with the at least one gas lumen, the outlet region is configured to direct pressurized gas from the at least one gas outlet and to produce a desired spray pattern from the shear nozzle.

CORDLESS WATER FLOSSER

A water flosser is provided that may include a body, a reservoir, a cap coupled to the body and a tip extending through an opening in the cap. The water flosser may include a latch assembly that selectively retains the tip to the body. In one embodiment, the cap, the tip and the latch assembly are all rotatable as a unit about a defined axis relative to the body. An ejector button may be provided to actuate the latch assembly. In one embodiment, the ejector button extends through an upper surface of the cap. Actuation of the latch assembly may include displacement of the ejector button in a direction that is parallel with a rotational axis of the tip. In some embodiments, the reservoir of a water flosser includes a tapering volumetric section that concentrates a volume of fluid about an inlet of a tube coupled with a pump.

SPRAYER FOR VISUAL ORAL IRRIGATOR AND VISUAL ORAL IRRIGATOR THEREOF
20200170767 · 2020-06-04 ·

A visual oral irrigator includes an oral irrigator, an oral observation instrument and a connecting mechanism. A water outlet of a sprayer is within the field of view of an observation system of the oral observation instrument. A pressure vessel includes a pressurizing device, a housing and a fluid containing space. The pressure of water in the pressure vessel can be increased through the pressurizing device, and a control switch is turned on to enable the water to be sprayed from the sprayer of a spray lance, so that the teeth or the oral cavity can be cleaned visually, and the cleaning process can be shot and photographed in real time. By adopting a detachable design mode for the visual oral irrigator of the invention, both the sprayer and a water tank can be conveniently removed and then cleaned, so that the using process is more sanitary and convenient.

CLEANING, HEALING AND REGENERATION OF TISSUE AND WOUNDS

A method of treating human or animal tissue, the method comprising the step of: i. directing a stream of an aqueous liquid comprising gas bubbles excited by acoustic energy towards a wound or anatomical pocket in human or animal tissue, or towards an anatomical space or potential space in human or animal tissue, or towards soft or hard tissue in an oral cavity or elsewhere in the human or animal body, or towards tissue in a nasal cavity, or towards tissue associated with sinuses, eye, ear, digestive and genito-urinary systems, thereby to treat the human or animal tissue with the stream. The output stream can clean a wound in human or animal tissue, and can treat the wound by healing the wound, for example by stimulating fibroblasts in the wound tissue and causing, promoting or enhancing re-epithelialisation of epidermal tissue in the wound.
