Surface treatment method for magnesium alloy object and structure thereof

The present invention provides a surface treatment method for magnesium alloy object, the method comprising: providing a magnesium alloy object; preprocessing the magnesium alloy object; performing micro-arc oxidation (MAO) treatment on the magnesium alloy object to form a micro-arc oxidation layer; Sputtering at least one metal layer or at least one non-metal layer on a surface of the micro-arc oxidation layer, the metal layer or non-metal layer which is sputtered on the micro-arc oxidation layer has different angles by using surface roughness of the micro-arc oxidation layer when a light source is projected on the metal layer or non-metal layer; and Sputtering a paint layer on the metal layer or non-metal layer to make the surface metallic lustrous and corrosion-resistant. The present invention further provides a surface structure of a magnesium alloy object.

Method for producing metal containing composite and metal containing composite formed by adhesion

An adhesive (B) of solvent containing adhesive as a suspension of low viscosity is prepared by adding a solvent MIBK to a one-part epoxy adhesive of a dicyandiamide-curable type (A). Metal shaped articles (M1 to M5) as adherends are prepared each of which, through various surface treatment, has specific surface configuration of roughened face and/or ultrafine irregularities and the surface is entirely covered with a thin layer of ceramics such as a metal oxide or metal phosphate. The specified face of each metal shaped article (M1 to M5) is painted with the solvent containing adhesive (B). The faces painted with the adhesive of two metal shaped articles (M1 to M5) are caused to abut each other, the articles are heated to cure the one-epoxy adhesive to accomplish adhesion. With one of the adherends replaced by a CFRP shaped article (P2), a composite of a metal and CFRP can be formed.

Method and apparatus for structural coloration of metallic surfaces

Materials for, and methods of, colorizing a metallic surface with micro-gratings using vibration cutting technologies are provided. Micro-gratings on aluminum, brass, and stainless steel surfaces can be rapidly created to effect, under illumination, at least one color observable in the visible spectrum using elliptical vibration texturing, a vibration-assisted mechanical cutting process. The modified metallic surface can display multiple visible colors, an iridescent effect caused by changes in one or more cutting parameters employed to produce the micro-gratings, the angle of illumination by an incident light, and/or the viewing angle of the surface under illumination.
