Mitigating internal corrosion of crude oil transportation pipeline
The present invention relates to development of high performing oil soluble and water dispersible corrosion inhibitor composition for mitigating internal corrosion of crude oil pipelines during storage and transportation of crude oils. The developed composition consists of acid-amine complex as corrosion inhibiting agent, mixture of organic acids as dispersing agent and ester derivative of alkylated phenol for better film formation. The present invention further relates to a process of preparation of the oil soluble and water dispersible corrosion inhibitor composition and subsequently a process for protecting the corrosion of internal metal surface of crude oil transportation pipelines using the corrosion inhibitor composition.
ALKYL LACTONE-DERIVED CORROSION INHIBITORS
Disclosed are alkyl lactone-derived hydroxyamide and alkyl lactone-derived hydroxyester used in compositions and methods for inhibiting corrosion. The alkyl lactone-derived hydroxyamide and alkyl lactone-derived hydroxyester are reaction products of an alkyl lactone and an amine, and an alkyl lactone and an alcohol, respectively.
A FORMULATION FOR CORROSION INHIBITION
The present disclosure relates to a corrosion inhibitor formulation comprising: a) at least one quaternary ammonium salt; b) at least one fatty acid methyl ester; c) at least one viscosity reducing agent; and d) at least one solubilizing agent, wherein the at least one quaternary ammonium salt to the at least one fatty acid methyl ester weight ratio is in the range of 1:0.2-1:5.0. The instant disclosure further relates to the process of preparation of the corrosion inhibitor formulation.

IDENTIFICATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF NOVEL CORROSION INHIBITOR MOLECULES
Methods of employing corrosion inhibitors with oxidizing and/or non-oxidizing biocides, such as peroxycarboxylic acids, to provide corrosion protected compositions are disclosed. Various corrosion inhibitors further provide biocidal efficacy in addition to the corrosion protection providing further benefits for application of use. Methods of employing corrosion protected biocide compositions, such as peroxycarboxylic acid compositions, for corrosion protection are particularly well suited for treating fluids intended to flow through pipes, namely in the energy industry, water and paper industries, etc. Methods providing suitable corrosion protection in comparison to untreated systems and corrosion protected systems using conventional corrosion inhibitors, such as quaternary amines and imidazolines commonly used in the industry, are disclosed.
Anti-corrosion polishing composition
Provided herein are methods and compositions for chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) of metals. The present methods and compositions involve the use of a corrosion inhibitor having the general formula C.sub.mH.sub.2m+1(OCH.sub.2CH.sub.2).sub.n-L-R in the CMP slurry composition, where m is an integer between 6 and 11, inclusive of end points, and n is an integer greater than or equal to 6, L is a bond, O, S, R.sup.1, SR.sup.1, or OR.sup.1, where R.sup.1 is a C.sub.1-4 alkylene; and R is an anionic group. The present methods and compositions can be used to achieve a high metal removal rate, while effectively inhibiting metal corrosion during CMP, and are particularly useful for CMP of cobalt (Co).
