System Having A Laser And An Adhesive For The Securing Of A Dental Restoration Part And Method For Securing A Restoration Part, In Particular A Dental Restoration Part
The invention relates to a system consisting of a laser which emits laser radiation with a wavelength of more than 1300 nm, in particular between 2750 nm and 3200 nm, and a dental adhesive for applying a dental restoration part to a pre-treated, in particular cleaned, adhesive base which is formed by hard dental tissue or by denture material. The viscous dental adhesive applied to the adhesive base, which is free of a dental restoration part, can be activated, in particular without blowing or agitation, by applying laser radiation.
DENTAL APPARATUS
A dental apparatus is disclosed that includes an elongated body, a plurality of light-emitting elements distributed along the elongated body, and a controller configured to individually enable the plurality of light-emitting elements.
A Method of Charging a Battery and a System Having a Dental Light Irradiation Device and a Battery Charging Device
A method of charging a battery of a dental light irradiation device has the steps of powering the battery at a first charging current and measuring a first terminal voltage of the battery; powering the battery at a different second charging current and measuring a second terminal voltage of the battery; calculating a battery source voltage; and powering off the battery as soon as the battery source voltage reaches or exceeds the threshold voltage.
TOOTH REPAIR SYSTEM
This invention relates to a tooth repair system including a method of: drilling an aperture in, e.g., a broken anterior tooth to a predetermined depth; providing a fiber optic—preferably of a diameter of between 0.3 and 1 millimeter and elastic modulus of between 22 GPa and 83 GPa—with a length longer than the predetermined depth; placing and adhering the fiber optic within the first aperture so that a portion of the fiber optic is exposed beyond the broken tooth surface; and restoring the broken tooth surface around the exposed fiber optic so that the fiber optic anchors a restored tooth portion to the broken tooth surface. The system also provides a tooth repair pin with the above characteristics, being acid-etched and silane coated with a carrier sleeve.
Dental light curing apparatus
The invention relates to a dental light curing apparatus, having a display device on or at a housing wall of the light curing apparatus, especially on the upper face of the light curing apparatus, having a plurality of light sources, which are arranged below said wall and facing the wall, wherein at least part of the wall is transparent to the light radiation emitted from the light sources, wherein the wall comprises a smooth outer surface, and an equally essentially smooth inner surface of the wall is provided with a negative pattern (18), and especially is printed, leaving the symbols (14) free, which negative pattern (18) is light-impermeable or essentially light-impermeable, and that the wall is superimposed onto the light source structure, which comprises partition walls (32), which separate the light sources (30) from each other.
RADIOMETRY SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DENTAL APPLICATIONS
The present disclosure describes systems and methods for radiometry in dental applications. The disclosed systems include a radiometer, a dental curing light, a composite material reader, and a restoration data storage device, where one or more of the radiometer, dental curing light, composite material reader, and restoration data storage device include one or more communication modules that enable wireless communication between one or more components. The radiometer is preferably programmed to determine the change in a rate of cure of a light-curable composite material and thereby determine whether an optimum cure time has been reached for the light-curable composite material. The communication modules may be used to transmit information between the radiometer and the curing light, and between one or more of the radiometer and curing light and one or more of the composite material reader and restoration data storage device.
Phototherapy devices and methods
The present disclosure relates to a phototherapy device that can deliver light to tissues to activate photoactive agents that have been applied to the tissues or that are included within a fiber optic tip member of the device which may be coupled to a light source using a sleeve. The present disclosure also relates to methods of phototherapy using the phototherapy device such as anti-bactericidal treatment, anti-fungal treatment, anti-parasitic treatment, anti-viral treatment.
Heating of dental materials using overtone signatures, absorbing dyes and material properties
The invention relates to the application of photon energy to energize dental materials to enhance their physical handling characteristics, efficacy, ability to be delivered, reactivity, polymerization, and/or post-cure mechanical properties, among other attributes.
LIGHT CURING DENTAL SYSTEM
A light curing dental system comprising a light emitting tray that precisely distributes an optimal amount of curing light energy to internal, external and extra oral portions of the dental arch to cure a dental material. The light curing dental system generally includes a light source, a light emitting dental tray, an activation module and a photocurable dental material.
Sealing assembly for forming sealant coating on a fastener, the sealing assembly comprising a light generator and a forming cup associated with the light generator
A method and apparatus for forming a sealant coating on a fastener are provided. The apparatus comprises a light generator, a light housing, and a forming cup. The light generator is configured to generate light having a number of characteristics that cures the sealant coating on the fastener. The light housing surrounds the light generator. The forming cup is removably connected to the light housing. The forming cup has an internal cavity with an inner mold line complementary to an outer mold line for the sealant coating.
