Dental light curing device
The invention relates to a light curing device comprising a light source that is arranged in the hand-held light curing device and has in particular a plurality of mutually adjacent chips which are arranged next to one another and form a light source and in front of which a light guiding element extends. The light curing device also comprises at least one sensor, which is sensitive to light in the emission wavelength range of the light source, and a control device for controlling the light source during the polymerization process, the sensor being connected to the control device. The control device continuously or at least periodically monitors the output signal of the sensor during the polymerization process and adapts the light output and/or the polymerization time in the event of a reduction of the output signal. The control device adds up the reflected radiation detected via the light exit surface (10) in order to calculate a possible location deviation, and the light exit surface (10) of the light guide is larger than or equal in size to the largest dental restoration (12) to be cured, the light exit surface having a cross-sectional area of more than 1 cm.sup.2 in particular.
DENTAL MATERIAL DISPENSING DEVICE AND A METHOD OF DISPENSING A DENTAL MATERIAL
A dental material dispensing device has a plunger means which for dispensing the dental material is movable for urging at least one component of a dental material toward a dispensing area. The device further has cure control means with an energy source and a flow path on which the dental composition and/or the dental material flows past the energy source during dispensation. The device is operable for exposing the dental composition and/or the dental material to a specific energy by control of the energy source and/or by control of the speed of the flow of the dental composition and/or the dental material on the flow path. The device is configured for dispensing a coherent strand of dental material in a dispensing cycle. The device is further configured for operating in a first dispensing mode and additionally in a second dispensing mode during the same dispensing cycle. The ratio between the specific energy in the second dispensing mode and the specific energy in the first dispensing mode is smaller than 1.
Tissue management impression material and dispensing systems
Disclosed herein are a tissue management impression material and a method of application into the sulcus of a patient, whereby the tissue management impression material is a part of the final dental impression made when manufacturing a dental device, such as a crown.
SYSTEM AND DEVICES FOR MEASURING LIGHT SOURCES AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The invention provides a system and related equipment for the precise measurement of the output characteristic of a light source, e.g., a dental light curing unit (LCU) or light for photodynamic therapy, using a light collector, a light detector, and a computer programmed to deliver the value of the output characteristic of the light source to the user. The systems allow for the determination of a proper exposure time or the selection of a light source as needed for a specific application.
DENTAL LIGHT POLYMERIZATION DEVICE
A dental light polymerization device has a polymerization light source and a camera. The dental light polymerization device comprises an actively movable light reflector. The invention provides for emitting light for polymerization of a dental material and capturing an image in the same dental light polymerization device.
A TOOTH REPAIR SYSTEM
This invention relates to a tooth repair system including a method of: drilling an aperture in, e.g., a broken anterior tooth to a predetermined depth; providing a fiber opticpreferably of a diameter of between 0.3 and 1 millimeter and elastic modulus of between 22 GPa and 83 GPawith a length longer than the predetermined depth; placing and adhering the fiber optic within the first aperture so that a portion of the fiber optic is exposed beyond the broken tooth surface; and restoring the broken tooth surface around the exposed fiber optic so that the fiber optic anchors a restored tooth portion to the broken tooth surface. The system also provides a tooth repair pin with the above characteristics, being acid-etched and silane coated with a carrier sleeve.
HANDPIECE ASSEMBLY FOR LASER TREATMENT DEVICE
Embodiments of the invention include a handpiece system including a detachable cable that can receive at least power, and a detachable cable connector, where the detachable cable connector and detachable cable are reversibly attachable to each other. In some embodiments, the system includes an interchangeable laser module, where the laser module and detachable cable connector are reversibly attachable to each other. Further, the interchangeable laser module is configured and arranged to receive at least the power via the cable connector when coupled to the cable connector, and to be removed from the detachable cable connector and replaced with another laser module. In some embodiments, the system further includes an interchangeable handpiece which is reversibly attachable to the interchangeable laser module. Further, the interchangeable handpiece is configured and arranged to be removed from the interchangeable laser module and replaced with another interchangeable handpiece.
Dental Trauma Kit
A compact, portable, self-contained dental trauma kit for on-site treatment and repair of dental avulsion, luxation and, subluxation in remote, non-dental and other emergent settings consists of a dental splinting material (the BAND-AID), dental resins (the glue), and a dental curing light (the glue hardener). This is everything necessary for the user to stabilize the traumatically involved teeth according to proper dental protocol in remote locations, without the need for any additional materials or other accessories. The use of the kit allows the patient to be treated rapidly, in less than thirty minutes, which drastically increases the survival rate of re-implanted or repositioned tooth or teeth.
HEMOSTATIC PASTE WITH LIGHT-CURABLE FEATURE
A hemostatic paste comprising: a hemostatic component; and a light-curable component; wherein the hemostatic component comprises (2-hydroxypropyl)-Y-cyclodextrin.
Alignment of three-dimensional data collected in dental sessions, and applications thereof
Disclosed embodiments integrate a camera into an intraoral mirror. Integrating a camera into an intraoral mirror provides an efficient way to record and display what is visible to the healthcare provider in the mirror.
