Dental treatment apparatus
A dental treatment apparatus includes: a handpiece including a head that holds a cutting tool; a drive unit capable of performing forward rotation driving for rotating the cutting tool held at the head in a cutting direction, and reverse rotation driving for rotating the cutting tool held at the head in a non-cutting direction; an operation receiving unit that receives an operation of an operator; and a controller that controls the drive unit that drives the cutting tool, according to the operation received by the operation receiving unit. Only when a prescribed condition is satisfied, the controller sets the operation received by the operation receiving unit as an operation to drive the cutting tool by reverse rotation driving, or as an operation to drive the cutting tool by twist driving by which the forward rotation driving and the reverse rotation driving are alternately performed.
Apex locator
The present invention provides a root canal length measuring device including: a measuring module configured to include a file hook electrically connected to an endodontic file, and a lip hook to be connected to a lip or a gum; a control module configured to measure the value of impedance which varies as the file moves from the surface of a tooth toward the apex of the root of the tooth, and provide an image signal or a sound signal representing information on the position of the apex of the root and information on the length of the apex of the root; and a communication module configured to receive the image signal or the sound signal from the control module, and wirelessly transmit the received signal to a smart device in real time.
ENDODONTIC DEVICES
A device for measuring the length of a root canal of a subject is provided. The device includes a flexible sheath slidable over a dental handpiece head. The sheath includes electrically conducting wires for connecting to an apex locator. Also provided is a device for measuring root canal length that includes an endodontic file having a metallic element at the file end far from the end inserted into a root canal. The modified file provides a region in the metallic element for electronic attachment to an apex locator such that the rubber stopper may be moved along the entire file surface without interference.
Dental treating apparatus and driving method for the same
A dental treating apparatus according to the present invention includes: a hand piece; a head unit; a driving unit; a control unit; a load specifying unit; and a load comparing unit. The hand piece drivably holds a cutting tool on the head unit. The driving unit drives the cutting tool in a normal rotation direction or in a reverse rotation direction. The load comparing unit compares a load detected and a reference load. During a normal rotation period until driving for rotating the cutting tool in the normal rotation direction by the driving unit satisfies a predetermined first condition, the control unit maintains a rotation direction of the cutting tool in the normal rotation direction, and when a result of comparison by the load comparing unit attains a predetermined result during the normal rotation period, the control unit controls the rotation direction to the reverse rotation direction.
APPARATUS FOR MEASURING THE LENGTH OF ROOT CANAL AND A METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A gutta percha point and an apparatus for measuring the length of a root canal in a root canal procedure. The gutta percha point includes a head, a neck, a body, and a tail. The neck has a coating of conductive material to which one electrode of the apparatus can be electrically clamped. The tip also includes a layer of conductive material. One or more conductive paths are formed integral to the body extending between the neck and the tail. The gutta percha cone can be used to measure the length of the root canal as well as for filling the tooth cavity.
INSTRUMENTS FOR DIRECT BONDED LINGUAL FOR ORTHODONTICS AND RELATED METHODS
An assessment tool for assessing whether an orthodontic wire may be bonded to a lingual side of a patient's teeth includes a first leg and a second leg defining an x-shape and a central axis and a first evaluation paddle extending from a first distal end of the first leg. The evaluation paddle has a first flat evaluation surface facing the central axis. The assessment tool also includes a second evaluation paddle extending from a second distal end of the first leg, a third evaluation paddle extending from a first distal end of the second leg and a fourth evaluation paddle extending from a second distal end of the second leg. The first evaluation paddle may be a lower mandibular paddle, the second evaluation paddle may be a maxillary centrals paddle, the third evaluation paddle may be a maxillary lateral incisors paddle and the fourth evaluation paddle may be a mandibular canines paddle.
METHOD FOR WARNING OF AN INSTRUMENT BREAK RISK
A method for warning of an instrument break risk during an endodontic treatment. The method includes the following steps: acquiring the shape of a root canal to be treated; identifying a risk zone, on the basis of complexities in the shape of the canal, such as bends or bifurcations in the canal; in real-time, acquiring a working depth of the instrument; determining the position of the instrument within the canal, and issuing a warning when the instrument reaches the risk zone.
ROOT CANAL TREATMENT
A device for disinfecting and/or sterilization of a dental cavity includes: an electrode pair that extends into the cavity to provide current along a portion of the cavity; and a controller that sends controlled electrical energy to the cavity via current flowing between the electrodes when located in the cavity, thereby to provide electrical energy for disinfection and/or sterilization.
Dental treating apparatus
A dental treating apparatus according to the present invention includes: a hand piece; a head unit; a driving unit; a resistor for load detection; a load comparing unit; and a control unit. The hand piece drivably holds a cutting tool on the head unit. The driving unit drives the cutting tool in a normal rotation direction or in a reverse rotation direction. The resistor for load detection detects a load applied to the cutting tool. The load comparing unit compares the detected load and a reference load each time driving for rotating the cutting tool in the reverse rotation direction by a predetermined rotation angle is performed. The control unit controls the driving unit based on a result of comparison by the load comparing unit.
