Apex locator
The present invention provides a root canal length measuring device including: a measuring module configured to include a file hook electrically connected to an endodontic file, and a lip hook to be connected to a lip or a gum; a control module configured to measure the value of impedance which varies as the file moves from the surface of a tooth toward the apex of the root of the tooth, and provide an image signal or a sound signal representing information on the position of the apex of the root and information on the length of the apex of the root; and a communication module configured to receive the image signal or the sound signal from the control module, and wirelessly transmit the received signal to a smart device in real time.
SURGICAL DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
A surgical device for identification of a surgical site of interest, such as a craniofacial or dental site (root apex of an identified tooth), and a method for using the device is provided. The device includes a perimeter bar and a plurality of intermediate cross bars arranged in a grid structure. The device can be used during a surgical procedure requiring enhanced precision, such as during an endodontic surgical procedure, by positioning the device next to a patient's tooth and capturing a CBCT image, the CBCT image being used to identify a drilling location. The device can be repositioned alongside the patient's tooth, and used to identify an accurate drilling position.
METHOD FOR INDICATING THE CONCENTRATION LEVEL OF AN IRRIGATION SOLUTION IN THE APICAL ZONE OF A DENTAL ROOT CANAL
Method for electronically indicating a concentration of an irrigation solution in a root canal (RC) of a tooth (T), using a device able to be electrically connected to an endodontic instrument engaged in the canal and to a labial electrode, and including a screen to display the progression of the instrument in said canal relatively to a critical apical point of reference such as the cemento-dentinal junction (CDJ), said device being furthermore able to measure, in the vicinity of said point of reference, by conductimetry, a concentration of an electrolyte irrigation solution injected into the root canal.
Panoramic imaging apparatus and diagnostic imaging method in same apparatus
In a panoramic imaging apparatus, a panoramic image is displayed on a monitor. The panoramic image is an image in which an overall dentition is in optimal focus, or an image in which a region of interest that is a portion of the image of the overall dentition is in optimal focus. Both images are reconstructed from frame data that has been collected by an initial first scan. Feature points of one or more teeth and a supporting portion that supports the tooth in the dentition in the panoramic image displayed on the monitor are designated. A length based on the positions of the designated feature points is measured in the panoramic image. The degree of loss in alveolar bone that supports the tooth is analyzed based on the measured length. The analysis information is provided to a dentist as check information regarding periodontal disease.
ENDODONTIC HAND FILE AND METHODS FOR ATTACHMENT
A dental instrument is designed to help facilitate the procedure of root canal therapy and can reduce the inaccuracies that are accompanied with using traditional methods of attaching an electronic apex location (EAL) to an endodontic hand file. The endodontic hand file can include an exposed window in the handle of the file that holds an extension of the main body of the file. The clasp from the EAL can attach to this exposed metal in the window of the handle. This new location for attaching the EAL to the hand file can provide an accurate measurement while removing variables such as file movement in the canal, stopper thickness, clearance from the opposing tooth. The endodontic hand file with its exposed window provides a safe, reliable and accurate way of using an EAL to measure the root canal length.
APEX LOCATOR ATTACHMENT
An apex locator attachment for connection to an apex locator for measurement of the position of the length of a root canal during endodontic treatment. A shape, structure and dimensions of the attachment are configured to maximize the ease of use of the attachment and to enable mechanical and electrical coupling of a dental instrument to an apex locator while allowing the apex locator attachment to be easily cleaned, disinfected and autoclaved.
Root canal treating device
A root canal treatment apparatus includes a root canal treatment hand piece having a visible light camera which captures a visible light image of a tooth as a target of interest, and circuitry which detects a position of the root canal treating hand piece, and instructs display of three images corresponding to at least a tip position of a cutting tool attached to the root canal treating hand piece, an X-ray cross-sectional image of the tooth captured by X-ray CT image capturing beforehand, and the visible light image captured by the visible light camera such that the three images are displayed on a display in an overlapping manner in positional correspondence with one another, based on information on the position of the root canal treating hand piece detected by the circuitry.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANUFACTURING APICOECTOMY GUIDE PLATE AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
A method for manufacturing an apicoectomy guide plate includes: a) performing scanning to obtain a tooth jaw image model, a soft tissue image model, an alveolar bone image model, a tooth crown image model, and a tooth root image model that is defined with at least one affected area; b) calculating position relations of the tooth jaw image model corresponding to the soft tissue image model and the alveolar bone image model to determine at least one osteotomy and apicoectomy procedure, and establishing a guide plate model corresponding to the tooth jaw image model and the osteotomy and apicoectomy procedure; and c) outputting the apicoectomy guide plate, which includes a connecting portion corresponding to the soft tissue image model and the tooth crown image model, and at least one positioning portion corresponding to the affected area and comprising at least one pre-drilled hole.
Display for cutting tool
A root canal length measuring device includes a display for displaying a control mode figure indicating an execution control mode executed among a plurality of control modes and a control unit for controlling the display to display the figure. A plurality of elements for displaying the control mode figure include a shaft portion extending in an arc shape or a fan shape and a clockwise head portion and a counterclockwise head portion indicating a first direction and a second direction as rotation directions of a cutting tool, respectively. The control unit controls the display according to the execution control mode in a root canal treatment device so that, among the plurality of elements, an entirety or a part of the shaft portion and the clockwise head portion and/or the counterclockwise head portion are displayed on the display.
Dental handpiece system
The purpose of the present invention is to enable safer treatment and to reduce variation of treatment effects in root canal treatment using a dental handpiece, regardless of operator's skill level. The present invention is a dental handpiece system including a handpiece and a rod-shaped cutting tool, in which the handpiece includes a handpiece body and a head part provided at a tip of the handpiece body, the rod-shaped cutting tool is rotatably attached to the head part of the handpiece and is used to cut a root canal, and the dental handpiece system detects at least one selected from the group consisting of a force applied to the handpiece from an external matter in an axial direction of the cutting tool and an acceleration of the handpiece in the axial direction of the cutting tool when cutting the root canal.
