Methods and Apparatus for Offshore Power Generation from a Gas Reservoir
Offshore systems and methods may be configured for offshore power generation and carbon dioxide injection for enhanced gas recovery for gas reservoirs. For example, a method may include: providing an offshore facility including a gas turbine, and a gas separator; producing a produced gas from a gas reservoir to the offshore facility; combusting the produced gas in a gas turbine to produce power and a flue gas; at least partially removing nitrogen from the flue gas in a gas separator to produce a carbon dioxide-enriched flue gas and a nitrogen-enriched flue gas; compressing the carbon dioxide-enriched flue gas in a gas compressor to produce a compressed gas; and injecting the compressed gas from the gas compressor into the gas reservoir, wherein 80 mol % or more of hydrocarbon in the produced gas is combusted and/or injected into the gas reservoir.
HIGH TEMPERATURE REACTOR VESSEL, PLANT AND METHOD
A reactor vessel for high temperature catalytic reactions is provided, in which the inlet portion has a particular design. A plant comprising this reactor vessel is also provided.
Reforming Furnace
At a center portion of a ceiling wall of a furnace body having a lateral wall between the ceiling wall and a bottom wall, there is a burner that combusts downwards. A reforming reaction tube is provided in a circumference of the burner to carry out a steam reforming treatment on a source gas. A discharging portion is an opening at an upper side portion of the lateral wall for discharging combustion gas of the burner. A cylindrical outer wall is disposed at an outer side portion of the lateral wall. In an outside space formed between the lateral wall and the outer wall, there is a steam generating heat exchanger generating steam or a mixture gas of a source gas and steam. At a lower side portion of the outer wall, there is outside discharging opening discharging the combustion gas which flows through the outside space.
RENEWABLE ENERGY HYDROCARBON PROCESSING METHOD AND PLANT
A plant uses one or more renewable energy sources to facilitate the processing of a hydrocarbon to produce hydrogen, syngas or other products. One renewable energy source is solar energy, which may be harnessed by (a) directly heating a thermal storage medium by way of a concentrated solar thermal (CST) plant; (b) converting the solar energy using photovoltaic cells to produce electricity and using the electricity to heat the thermal storage medium, (c) a combination of both, or (d) converting the solar energy using photovoltaic cells to produce electricity and using the electricity to heat a reactor by way of resistive or inductive heating. The thermal storage medium, when used, is arranged to store enough thermal energy to enable 24-hours a day processing of the hydrocarbon. Electricity derived from PV cells may be used to enable the production of heat for processing when radiant energy from the sun is insufficient.

The present disclosure provides systems and methods for hydrogen production as well as apparatuses useful in such systems and methods. Hydrogen is produced by steam reforming of a hydrocarbon in a gas heated reformer that is heated using one or more streams comprising combustion products of a fuel in an oxidant, preferably in the presence of a carbon dioxide circulating stream.
Oxy-fuel heated hydrogen production process
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for hydrogen production as well as apparatuses useful in such systems and methods. Hydrogen is produced by steam reforming of a hydrocarbon in a gas heated reformer that is heated using one or more streams comprising combustion products of a fuel in an oxidant, preferably in the presence of a carbon dioxide circulating stream.
Process for producing pure hydrogen with low steam export
A process is proposed for producing pure hydrogen by steam reforming of a feed gas comprising hydrocarbons, preferably natural gas or naphtha, with a simultaneously low and preferably adjustable export steam flow rate. The process includes the steam reforming of the feed gas, for which the heat of reaction required is provided by combustion of one or more fuel gases with combustion air in a multitude of burners arranged within the reformer furnace. According to the invention, the combustion air, before being introduced into the burners, is heated by means of at least one heat exchanger in indirect heat exchange with the hot flue gas to temperatures of at least 530° C.

System and method for thermal conversion of materials using multiple loops comprising a primary heat transfer loop, an intermediate heat transfer loop and a thermal conversion circuit
Methods and systems for producing a thermally converted product stream (and optionally heat and power) from a high value heat source using a plurality of circulating loops comprising a primary heat transfer loop, several substantially not recirculated process heater, reactor or separator systems and an intermediate heat transfer loop that transfers heat from the high-temperature heat transfer loop to the several process heater, reactor or separator systems. The intermediate heat transfer loop is arranged to eliminate to the extent practical the shell and tube heat exchangers especially those heat exchangers that have a very large pressure difference between the tube side and shell side, to eliminate shell and tube, plate type, double pipe and similar heat exchangers that transfer heat directly from the primary heat transfer loop to the several process heater, reactor or separator systems with very high differential pressures and to maximize the use of heat transfer coils similar in design as are used in a heat recovery steam generator commonly used to transfer heat from gas turbine flue gas to steam or other power cycle fluids as part of a combined cycle power plant.
