Wireless patch system for transdermal, transmucosal and dental electrical drug delivery
Methods and systems for delivering drug particles to a target site are disclosed. An example method for implementing the subject matter described herein includes applying a drug delivery patch to a target site. The drug delivery patch can include a substrate, an electrode integrated with the substrate, and a fluid in the substrate having drug particles suspended in the fluid. The method further includes transmitting a signal to the drug delivery patch to power the drug delivery patch by inductive coupling. Powering the drug delivery patch causes the electrode in the drug delivery patch to motivate the drug particles towards a target site of the drug delivery patch.
Systems, apparatuses and methods for substance delivery from dental appliance
A dental appliance having an integrally formed reservoir and/or an ornamental design integrated thereon. The ornamental design can be selected or customized by a patient. The design can be created by directing energy to the dental appliance to alter a material property of at least a portion of the appliance to create the design. Alternatively, a groove or recess can be formed on a surface of the appliance to either mechanically retain an ornamental design or the groove or recess can be filled with ink to form the design. The appliance, including the integrally formed reservoir, can be formed using direct fabrication techniques.
Dental appliance etch template
The present disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems that utilize dental appliance etch templates prior to or during dental treatment. One dental appliance etch template includes a removable shell having one or more cavities formed therein, where the one or more cavities are shaped to receive teeth of a patient, and the shell includes a well, the well including a wafer, where the wafer includes etch material to etch a tooth of the patient.
DENTAL TRAY WITH ENCAPSULATED FLUID
A dental tray with encapsulated fluid that includes an arched tray frame having a bottom surface spanning a tray length separating ends of the tray frame, an outer sidewall spanning the tray length, with an upper edge, and with an inner sidewall surface, an inner sidewall spanning the tray length, with an upper edge, and with an inner sidewall surface. The inner sidewall surfaces of the outer sidewall and the inner sidewall and the bottom surface of the tray frame define a tray channel spanning the tray length and the continuous tray channel has a teeth applicator fluid housed therein. The tray frame also includes a flexible cover selectively removably coupled to the upper edges of the outer and inner sidewalls of the tray frame in a hermetically sealed configuration to encapsulate the teeth applicator fluid.
Reactive gas application apparatus
The present invention provides a reactive gas application apparatus capable of easily and surely applying a reactive gas to a target object. The reactive gas application apparatus (100) includes: a plasma generating unit (12), a nozzle (1) for discharging a reactive gas activated by plasma generated in the plasma generation unit (12), and a light source unit (50) for emitting light toward a position ahead of a tip of the nozzle (1). The reactive gas application apparatus preferably further includes a control unit for synchronizing plasma generation in the plasma generation unit and light emission in the light source unit.
Computerized oral prescription administration with refillable medication dispensing devices and associated systems and methods
Computerized oral prescription administration with refillable medication dispensing devices and associated systems and methods are provided. In one embodiment, a method of dispensing a substance to an intended user is provided. The method comprises receiving an input from a biometric sensor; determining, based on the received input, whether an intended user's unique biometric attribute is detected by the biometric sensor; receiving an input from an environmental sensor; determining, based on the received input, whether a mouthpiece is positioned within a user's mouth; receiving an input from a capacitive sensor array of the mouthpiece; determining, based on the received input, whether an intended user's unique dentition is positioned within a recess of the mouthpiece; and dispensing a substance from a reservoir to a mouth of the intended user in response to determining that the intended user's unique biometric attribute is detected by the biometric sensor.
Silver Fluoride Formulations, Methods and Devices for Caries Management
An oral care formulation includes an aqueous mixture of a water-soluble silver salt, a fluoride reagent, and a water-soluble polymer, the aqueous mixture having a viscosity ranging from about 1000 cPs to about 35,000 cPs. A method of using a fluoride and silver containing formulation, such as silver diamine fluoride, in dental applications includes providing a substrate having the formulation in a solid or semi-solid state on a portion of the substrate, positioning the substrate adjacent to dental areas, and allowing the portion of the substrate with the formulation to contact the dental areas. A disposable applicator for applying the formulation is also disclosed.
Dental Medicament Applicator
A dental medicament applicator is disclosed. In one embodiment, a retention device is sized for insertion at a dental site, such as an interproximal site. The retention device includes a body and at least one matrix within the body containing a topical substance, such as a fluoride-containing chemical agent, silver diamine fluoride, or a peptide-based chemical agent, for example. One or two wings may be selectively separably coupled to respective ends of the body. The body, in response to being physically affixed to the dental site, delivers the topical substance at a controlled rate to the dental site.
FOOLPROOF PERIODONTAL SULCUS BRUSH AND INTRASULCULAR MEDICAMENT APPLICATOR AND METHOD OF USE
According to an exemplary embodiment, a foolproof periodontal sulcus brush and intrasulcular medicament applicator, having one or two heads, for use in a variety of humans and animals, and its method of use, may be shown and described. The foolproof periodontal sulcus brush and intrasulcular medicament applicator can have offset heads and bristle areas, and include multiple curves of a neck portion—to provide improved access and cleaning ability, and may be separable or combined with toothbrush and/or other oral care brush elements or components, including a motorized or manual handle.
