A vaccination device can be used to vaccinate day-old chicks. To vaccinate the day-old chicks safely while ensuring vaccination efficacy, the vaccination device can include a vaccination needle configured to extend from the vaccination device at a vaccination delivery location and an action plate. The action plate can be coupled to the vaccination device such that the action plate is positioned next to the vaccination delivery location. The action plate can include an action button, wherein the action button is configured to receive a day-old chick presented to the action plate in a predetermined loading position, receive a press of the action button, and in response to pressing the action button, cause the vaccination needle to extend from the vaccination device at the vaccination delivery location to deliver a subcutaneous injection to the day-old chick.

Liquid Applicator for Delivering Vaccines

The invention relates to a liquid applicator, for administering liquids, including vaccines, to animals. In particular, the applicator is useful for delivering liquids to mouths of animals.

DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING A FLUID

A device for administering a fluid can include a cylinder, a piston connected to a piston rod, and a tensioning device connected to the piston rod. In a dispensing procedure a ramp track is rotated until the roller runs over a transfer region and is accelerated toward the first plateau and, as a result, the piston is moved toward an open dispensing end. A motor is connected to the ramp via a coupling. To rotate the ramp, the coupling transmits torque provided by the motor in the first rotation direction and, in the process, provides a freewheel counter to the first rotation direction. The freewheel is configured such that it covers at least a rotation angle range which corresponds to the transfer region.

VACCINE SPRAY EQUIPMENT

A vaccine spray equipment includes a frame, a conveying device, a spray device and two liquid supply devices. The conveying device is disposed on the frame, and is configured to support and convey a chick frame. The spray device is provided on the frame and includes two rows of spray heads provided along the conveying direction perpendicular to the conveying device, the two rows of spray heads are provided side by side above the conveying device. The two liquid supply devices are provided on the frame. The two liquid supply devices are respectively connected to the two rows of spray heads in a one-to-one correspondence, and each of the liquid supply devices is configured to provide the spray device with vaccine suspension liquid.

Injection apparatus and method for use

An injection apparatus for sequentially injecting a patient with at least two medicaments may include a hand-held unit comprising a grip for being held by an operator, a single needle, a base unit coupled to the hand-held unit via at least one connecting tube, at least two containers for holding medicaments removably coupled to the base unit, and at least one pump. The at least one connecting tube can be flexible enough to enable easy maneuvering of the hand-held unit and rigid enough to prevent widening of the tube due to inner pressure when medicaments pass from the containers to the hand-held unit. The injection apparatus can be used to administer the at least two medicaments sequentially at different injection points.

LIGATURES AND USE THEREOF

An apparatus for removal of an animal body part, the apparatus comprising a ligature applicator, the ligature applicator being configured to move a ligature between a first, extended state in which the ligature can be passed over the animal body part to a selected application position, and a second, retracted state in which the ligature applies a compressive force at the application position to restrict blood flow in the animal body part; and a substance applicator, the substance applicator being configured to deliver a substance to the animal.
