Apparatus and methods for accessing and sealing bodily vessels and cavities
Everting balloon systems and methods for using the same are disclosed herein. The systems can be configured to access and dilate body lumen and cavities. For example, the systems can be used to dilate the cervix and access the uterine cavity. The systems can also be used to occlude the cervix. The systems can also be used to occlude the urethra.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION
The invention encompasses improved catheters comprised of multiple tubular bodies and methods of using them in artificial insemination.
ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION DEVICE AND A METHOD OF PERFORMING ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION USING THE DEVICE
Artificial insemination device (1A, IB, IB, IB, IB, 1C, ID, IE, IF) for depositing sperm (15) at the cervix entrance of a subject, the device comprises: a longitudinal tube (3) for accommodating sperm (15), and a flexible guiding means (2A, 2B, 2B, 2B, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F) connected to the tube (3), where the guiding means is arranged for being attached to an insertion unit (7) in order to facilitate at least partly insertion of the tube (3) into the vagina by means of the insertion unit (7).
Antibody for determining sex of sperm, and use thereof
Provided are an antibody for sexing sperms and use thereof, and more particularly, a composition for and a method of sexing sperms by using the antibody, and a method of producing an animal of a particular sex. In the present disclosure, it was confirmed that agglutination of Y chromosome sperms may be induced by treatment of the antibody, thereby easily sorting X chromosome sperms and Y chromosome sperms. Therefore, it is possible to produce a large number of customized animals of a particular sex and to selectively produce livestock of a desired sex, and therefore, it is expected to contribute to planed breeding, breeding improvement, and efficient management.
Artificial insemination device
It refers to an artificial insemination device which comprises a tube and a tip engageable at one end of the tube, the tip being formed by a hollow tubular body with a semi-spherical upper end provided with at least three orifices; the tip internally comprises at least a first frustoconical portion tapering towards the upper end for insertion of a first vane containing biological material to be inseminated, followed by a first annular portion for coupling this vane, a second frustoconical portion tapering toward the upper end, arranged next to the first annular portion for insertion of a second vane containing biological material having a smaller diameter than the first vane, a second annular portion, arranged after the second additional frustoconical portion, for coupling with the second vane smaller than the first one, and a niche in the region of the upper semi-spherical end where the at least three orifices are arranged.
Fertility kits with sterile syringes and collection jars, method of sterilization and use
A sterile Intracervical Insemination (ICI) fertility kit, method of sterilization, and method of use for performing self-insemination. Each sterile kit comprises: up to three sets of individually wrapped sterile, disposable, syringes and semen collection jars; printed instructions; and a QR code. The collection jar comprises a snap-on lid, and an inner surface with seamless edges to prevent semen residue. The syringes and jars are sealed in plastic wraps permeable to air and gas, and impermeable to pathogens; and are sterilized via gamma radiation or ethylene oxide. Fresh or frozen, unwashed or washed, semen is deposited into the jar, pulled into the syringe, and administered cervically during a user's maximum monthly level of luteinizing hormone. The syringe distal end is designed to push all semen out of the syringe then plug the end closed, while preventing semen residue from collecting within the syringe. Large circular syringe handles facilitate stable handling.
Devices and methods for artificial insemination
The invention encompasses improved catheters comprised of multiple tubular bodies and methods of using them in artificial insemination.
DEVICE FOR ARTIFICIALLY INSEMINATING A MAMMAL
The invention relates to a device (1, 21) for artificially inseminating a mammal with sperm from a male breeding animal, the sperm being introduced through the vagina of the animal into or onto the uterus of the animal which is to be inseminated. The device (1, 21) comprises a tube (2) which can be moved on the uterus through the vagina of the animal which is to be inseminated, and a heatable chamber (6) for accommodating a thin tube (7) containing the sperm, and a drive (13) by means of which the sperm can be removed from the thin tube (7) and the uterus-sided opening of the tube (2). The device (1, 21) comprises a mechanism enabling the thin tube (7) to be moved out from the chamber (6) into the tube (2).
