The device may be used for the placement of stereotactic markers into tissue near joints or tumors for guidance during orthopedic or neurosurgical procedures.
Fixating means between a mesh and mesh deployment means especially useful for hernia repair surgeries and methods thereof
The present invention provides a fixating means adapted for use in hernia repair surgeries in attaching a mesh and mesh deployment means; said fixating means are attached to said mesh deployment means; and fixating means comprising: (a) a first portion coupled to said deployment means; and, (b) a second portion comprising a coil having a predetermined retracted shape; said coil is reconfigurable from a plurality of unretracted positions to a plurality of retracted positions and from said plurality of retracted positions to said plurality of unretracted positions; wherein said attachment between said deployment means and said mesh is obtained by reconfiguration of said coil from at least one of said unretracted positions to at least one of said retracted positions.
Fixation device delivery system and methods
A fixation device delivery system is described. The system includes a driver and a cooperating fixation element featuring a barb which becomes active upon deployment in the inner abdominal wall.
SURGICAL IMPLANTS INCLUDING INDICIA
According to an aspect of the present disclosure a surgical system is provided. The surgical system includes a surgical implant and a camera. The surgical implant includes indicia that is non-visible to a human eye. The camera is configured to detect the indicia on the surgical implant.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DELIVERY AND POSITIONING OF SURGICAL IMPLANTS
Systems and method for delivery and positioning of a sheet-like surgical implant to a target site including a means of deploying and orienting the sheet-like implant within the body.
TISSUE REPAIR DEVICE AND METHOD
A surgical device is provided. The surgical device includes a housing adapted for mounting on a finger of a user; and at least one guide tube attached along a length of the housing. The guide tube is configured for guiding a tissue repair implant from a proximal opening to a distal opening thereof.
Self-expandable surgical implant for correction of congenital diaphragmatic hernia
A self-expandable double-sided surgical implant including a peripheral pocket receiving an expansion ring. The surgical implant may be used for the correction of congenital diaphragmatic hernias.
Power assist device for a surgical instrument
A surgical instrument including a power assist device, and its method of use for deploying surgical fasteners, is disclosed. The surgical instrument may include a handle, an elongated shaft extending from the handle, and a surgical fastener deployment system including a driveshaft. The driveshaft is actuatable between at least a first proximal position and a second distal position. A striker is movable relative to the driveshaft and an impact surface is associated with the driveshaft. The impact surface is constructed and arranged to be struck by the striker member to displace the driveshaft to the second distal position and deploy the surgical fastener.
