A purification apparatus includes a radio frequency (RF) signal source that generates an RF signal, first and second electrodes, and a conduit. The first electrode receives the RF signal and converts it into electromagnetic energy that is radiated by the first electrode. The conduit includes input and output ports and a chamber. The input and output ports are in fluid communication with the chamber, and the chamber is configured to receive an electrodeless bulb. The chamber is defined by first and second boundaries that are separated by a distance that is less than the wavelength of the RF signal so that the chamber is sub-resonant. The first electrode is physically positioned at the first boundary, and the second electrode is physically positioned at the second boundary. The first and second electrodes and the chamber form a structure that capacitively couples the electromagnetic energy into an electrodeless bulb within the chamber.

An inlet of the plasma generator is configured to allow sewage passage. The denitrification reservoir comprises a shell and a denitrification zone, a water purification zone, and a sludge collecting zone provided inside the shell. The present invention effectively reduces total nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen in the polluted water body and helps to reduce COD, BOD, total phosphorus and chroma of the water body. The dissolved oxygen level of the water body is also increased after the purification process.

A water treatment system may be provided to separate charged compositions from a water stream. The water treatment system may include an electromagnetic field (EMF) device to generate an electromagnetic field within a passageway. The water treatment system may further include a filtration membrane and a first electrode and a second electrode, configured to provide an oscillating electric field across the filtration membrane to separate charged compositions. In one embodiment, the system is configured to separate struvite and/or vivianite on a first side of the membrane. In another embodiment, the system is configured to separate salt on a first side of the membrane.

The non-thermal plasma generator activates the fluid. In one embodiment the scrubbing device is a mitt. In another embodiment the scrubbing device is a glove.

In response to the DC pulses, self-oscillations arise in the parallel oscillating circuit, the self-oscillations producing an alternating current in the inductor; and the inductor generates the alternating electromagnetic field for processing the liquid.
