FILTER DEVICE
A filter device insertable into a biological lumen includes a shaft portion and an elastically deformable portion interlocked with the shaft portion, the deformable portion having a plurality of wires braided in a mesh shape. The wires include wires of a first type, each having a diameter d. A sum of d.sup.3 of all of the wires is 0.08 to 0.25 mm.sup.3.
Balloon Basket Catheter Device
The present disclosure relates to catheter system comprising a balloon and an infusion basket designed to be deployed in complex vasculature to optimally treat vascular and arterial disease conditions such as blood clots, blood emboli, and deep vein thrombosis. The basket may comprise a shaft with a plurality of cuts along a portion of its length to form a plurality of tines that provide support for a plurality of porous tubes to form the limbs of the basket. The limbs of the basket expand radially away from the longitudinal axis of the basket when the longitudinal length of the basket is reduced. The limbs may also be connected to a drug delivery system, and in this manner, baskets of the present disclosure allow for the use of both mechanical and pharmaceutical means of thrombolysis and thrombectomy.
INTRAVASCULAR GUIDEWIRE FILTER SYSTEM FOR PULMONARY EMBOLISM PROTECTION AND EMBOLISM REMOVAL OR MACERATION
An intravascular emboli capture and retrieval system for intravascular embolism protection and embolism removal or maceration. Guidewire mounted proximally and distally located multiple opening filters are deployed within the vasculature and used to part, divide and macerate embolic debris and to capture such embolic debris within the confines thereof. A deployable flexible preformed memory shaped capture sleeve is alternatively used to collapse one or more filters and embolic debris therein for subsequent proximal withdrawal from the vasculature.
INTRALUMINAL DEVICE WITH VARIABLE WIRE CONFIGURATION
Intraluminal devices and methods of fabricating intraluminal devices may be provided. In one implementation, an intraluminal device may be formed of a plurality of wires and may include a distal coil, a proximal coil, and an expandable mesh segment positioned between the distal and proximal coils. The proximal coil may include more wires of the plurality of wires than the distal coil and the expandable mesh segment. Due to the smaller number of wires forming the distal coil, the intraluminal device may be configured to have a soft and atraumatic distal tip and a more rigid proximal cable.
INTRALUMINAL DEVICE WITH WIRE BRAIDING CONFIGURATION
Intraluminal devices and methods of fabricating intraluminal devices may be provided. In one implementation, an intraluminal device may be formed of a plurality of wires and may include a distal coil, a proximal coil, and an expandable mesh segment positioned between the distal and proximal coils. The distal coil, proximal coil, and expandable mesh segment may be formed as a single, unitary structure, with at least one wire of the plurality of wires extending continuously from the proximal coil to the distal coil.
Tethered vena cava filter apparatus and method of using same
A tethered vena cava filter configured for temporary prophylaxis of pulmonary embolism.
MULTI-LUMEN SHEATH CENTRAL VENOUS CATHETER WITH VENA CAVA FILTER APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A combined sheath with a wire body and a filter. The filter may be removably coupled to the sheath within a filter capsule for temporary placement and retrieval.
Filter
A filter (10) includes a proximal end (1), a distal end (2) and a main filter body connected between the proximal end (1) and the distal end (2). The main filter body has a first filter unit (3) and a second filter unit (4), both being conical mesh structures, as well as multiple intermediate connection posts (5) connecting the first filter unit and the second filter unit. The intermediate connection posts (5) have provided thereon support posts (6). A support post (6) includes a transition segment (61) extending from an intermediate connection post (5) to a blood vessel wall, and a support segment bent and extending from the transition segment (61), and at least partially abutting the blood vessel wall. The support segment has a main body (62) bent and extending from the end of the transition segment (61) and a flexible segment (63) bent and extending from the main body (62). A diameter of at least a portion of the flexible section (63) along a length thereof is smaller than a diameter of the main body (62), thereby increasing flexibility of the support section and preventing the support section from puncturing the blood vessel wall.
Embolic protection basket apparatus
The present invention provides an aortic embolic filter mounted on a catheter. A pair of spaced apart hubs are provided, one hub being a catheter hub mounted on the catheter, the other hub being a tip hub spaced distally of the catheter hub. A filter basket is attached to the hubs and positioned distally of the catheter hub. The basket includes multiple supports that each span the two hubs. A filter material/sheet is supported by the supports, the filter material having concave and convex surfaces, first and second edge portions, and an opening that spans most of the distance between the hubs and in between the filter material edge portions. One of the supports is movable relative to the catheter hub. An operator, controller or handle enables the movable support to change length between the hubs to put more or less of a curvature of the filter basket.
THERAPEUTIC TREATMENT DEVICE WITH INVERTED BRAIDED VESSEL OCCLUDER
An endovascular treatment device for use in a vessel during a therapy procedure includes a catheter and a vessel occluder coupled to the catheter. The occluder includes a construction of elastic filaments that are fixed to the outer surface of the catheter. The filaments extend radially and distally outward from their proximal ends and then invert and are fixed back at the catheter proximal of the distal end of the catheter. The occluder can be elastically deformed to fit vessels of various sizes. The catheter includes a lumen through which a therapeutic agent is delivered beyond the occluder.
