LAMINATED VEHICLE GLAZING AND DEVICE COMPRISING AN ASSOCIATED NEAR-INFRARED DETECTION SYSTEM
A vehicle laminated glazing includes a first extra clear glass sheet forming an exterior glazing, a lamination interlayer and a second glass sheet forming an interior glazing with a through-hole in this second sheet including a piece with a camouflaging coating.
Deadfront for displays including a touch panel on decorative glass and related methods
Embodiments of a deadfront article are provided. The deadfront article includes a substrate having a first surface and a second surface. The deadfront article also includes a semi-transparent layer disposed onto the second surface of the substrate. The semi-transparent layer has a region of a solid color or of a design of two or more colors, and the semi-transparent layer has a first optical density. Further, the deadfront article includes a contrast layer disposed onto the region. The contrast layer is configured to enhance visibility of the color(s) of the semi-transparent layer.
GLASS SHEET WITH ENAMEL REFLECTING INFRARED RADIATION
A glass sheet includes a tempered mineral glass substrate bearing, on one of its faces, a low-emissivity transparent coating and, on this coating, an enamel layer containing one or more ceramic pigments, the enamel layer covering only a portion of the low-emissivity layer and leaving another part thereof free. At least 50% by weight, preferably at least 80% by weight, and in particular at least 95% by weight of the ceramic pigments are chosen from ceramic pigments that reflect near-infrared radiation (NIR) having a reflectance at 1000 nm, determined according to the standard ASTM E 903, at least equal to 40% and a lightness L* of less than 30. It also relates to a process for manufacturing such a sheet and to an oven or refrigerator door containing such a sheet.
Scratch and abrasion resistant UV blocking glass coating
A coating composition and method of making a scratch resistant UV blocking glass coating is described. The composition can include an aqueous colloidal silica. a bifunctional silanol coupling agent, tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS), a UV absorber, and a water miscible solvent selected from glycol ethers, alkanols, keto alcohols, and combinations thereof. The molar ratio of the bi-functional silanol to TEOS is selected to provide scratch resistance coupled with water resistance.
Glass-ceramic article
The present invention relates to a glass-ceramic article comprising at least one substrate, such as a plate, made of glass-ceramic, said substrate being coated in at least one area with at least one enamel coating such that: 1) said enamel has a gloss at 60? of less than 40, 2) the coverage rate of said enamel in said area coated with said coating is 40 to 80%, 3) said enamel preferably: 3a) is free of pigments in the form of mica or aluminum oxide or silica particles coated with metal oxides or combinations of metal oxides, and 3b) has a roughness Ra greater than or equal to 0.4 ?m and/or a luminosity L* greater than 50.
WINDOW GLASS FOR VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, LAMINATED GLASS FOR VEHICLE, AND WINDSHIELD FOR VEHICLE
A window glass for a vehicle includes: a glass plate having a first main surface and a second main surface; a ceramic color layer, and an organic ink layer, in which the ceramic color layer is provided at least in a periphery on the first main surface of the glass plate, the organic ink layer is provided to cover at least a partial region on the ceramic color layer provided in the periphery, and a thickness of the organic ink layer is smaller than a thickness of the ceramic color layer.
PREPARATION OF AN ARTICLE OF A GLASS OR A GLASS-CERAMIC HAVING AN IMPROVED COATING AND THAT ARTICLE
A method for preparing an article, the structure of which comprises a substrate of a glass or a glass-ceramic and a coating fixed to at least one portion of the surface of said substrate. In a characteristic way, said coating is generated from at least one loaded polysilsesquioxane resin; said at least one polysilsesquioxane resin not containing any aryl radical in its structure.
POLARIZING PLATE AND OPTICAL DISPLAY COMPRISING THE SAME
A polarizing plate and an optical display including the same are provided. A polarizing plate includes a display region and a non-display region surrounding the display region and includes: a polarizer; and a bonding layer, a first polarizer protective film, and a functional coating layer sequentially stacked on a surface of the polarizer. The bonding layer includes a printed layer therein to correspond to the non-display region. The polarizing plate has a haze of about 0.1% to about 5% as measured on the functional coating layer and a reflectance difference of about 2.4% or less between the display region and the non-display region, or the polarizing plate has a haze of about 20% to about 40% as measured on the functional coating layer and a reflectance difference of about 1.5% or less between the display region and the non-display region.
THIN CERAMIC IMAGING SCREEN FOR CAMERA SYSTEMS
An apparatus and a camera system are provided. The apparatus includes an imaging screen configured to diffuse incoming light, and a lens system coupled to the imaging screen and configured to focus light from the imaging screen onto a CMOS image sensor. The imaging screen includes a ceramic diffuser layer fused into a surface of a glass substrate, and a thickness of the ceramic diffuser layer is within a range of about 7-10 m.
