HEAT-TREATABLE ANTIMICROBIAL GLASS
A coated glass substrate is disclosed. The coated glass substrate includes a coating containing at least one metal oxide containing a zinc oxide. The zinc of the zinc oxide is present in an amount of from 5 wt. % to 50 wt. % as determined according to XPS. The coated glass substrate has area surface roughness Sa or Sq of from about 5 nm to about 1,500 nm as determined via atomic force microscopy.
Coating agent containing clay, resin, and organic solvent, protective film using same, and product
Disclosed herein is a coating agent containing a synthetic organically-modified clay comprising a synthetic clay and an organic modification agent, a resin, and an organic solvent, wherein the organic solvent is contained in an amount within the range of 5-70 parts by weight with respect to 30 parts by weight of the resin, and contains at least two selected from the group consisting of toluene, xylene, and ethylbenzene; a protective film using the same; and a product provided with the protective film.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING LAMINATED GLAZING WITHOUT ENAMEL STICKING TO THE BACK-GLASS
A process for manufacturing a laminated glazing that includes at least a first glass sheet and a second glass sheet, includes printing a face of the first glass sheet intended to be oriented toward the second glass sheet with a liquid enamel which is dried at a temperature not exceeding 400° C., then bending the first and second glass sheets together in contact with one another in their relative position of destination in the laminated glazing, by heating at a softening temperature of the glass, wherein the liquid enamel is an aqueous silicate paint including a refractory powder of pigments and a silicate binder powder, in the absence of glass frit, and wherein a weight ratio of pigments to silicates is greater than 1.
GLASS-CERAMIC ARTICLE
The present invention relates to a glass-ceramic article comprising at least one substrate, such as a plate, made of glass-ceramic, said substrate being coated in at least one area with at least one enamel coating such that: 1) the enamel has a gloss at 60° of less than 40, 2) the coverage rate of said enamel in said area coated with said coating is 40 to 80%, 3) said enamel comprises pigments in the form of mica and/or aluminum oxide and/or silica particles coated with metal oxides or combinations of metal oxides, 4) said enamel has a roughness Ra greater than or equal to 0.4 μm, 5) said enamel has a roughness Rt greater than 4 μm.
INK
Disclosed is an inkjet ink that is jettable through standard inkjet nozzles, yet creates a non-abrasive non-porous three-dimensional glass structure on a 1-100 micron-scale without the need for additional processes beyond those normally used for the inkjet decoration of glass substrates. Such an inkjet ink can avoid the drawbacks noted above and is described herein.
Preparation of an article of a glass or a glass-ceramic having an improved coating and that article
A method for preparing an article, the structure of which comprises a substrate of a glass or a glass-ceramic and a coating fixed to at least one portion of the surface of the substrate. In a characteristic way, the coating is generated from at least one loaded polysilsesquioxane resin; the at least one polysilsesquioxane resin not containing any aryl radical in its structure.
MINERAL INK FOR INKJET PRINTING ON A MINERAL SUBSTRATE
A mineral ink for inkjet printing on a mineral substrate, includes a glass frit, an organic solvent, a dispersant, a surfactant and a glass fit including the following constituents in the weight limits defined below expressed as percentages by weight of the glass frit: 35 to 50% of SiO.sub.2, 15 to 25% of Al.sub.2O.sub.3, 1.5 to 4% of Li.sub.2O, 22 to 32% of B.sub.2O.sub.3, 0 to 2% of Na.sub.2O, 2 to 5% of K.sub.2O, 1 to 5% of CaO, 1 to 4% of ZrO.sub.2.
Composition, laminate and window
The present disclosure provides a composition through which a laminate which is aesthetically excellent is formed by exhibiting a blue-based color, which is a general window color, and through which a laminate having high visible light transmittance and an excellent thermochromic property is formed while enabling mass production, and the present disclosure further provides a laminate formed through the above composition and a window including the laminate.
Process and plant for obtaining colored glazing
A process for depositing a coating on a glass substrate includes co-sputtered simultaneously by a plasma, in one and the same chamber of the vacuum deposition device, a first constituent made of a material consisting of an oxide, a nitride or an oxynitride of a first element and a second constituent consisting of the metallic form of a second element. The process also includes introducing a hydride, a halide or an organic compound of a third element, different than the first element, into the plasma, to recover the substrate covered with the coating comprising the first, second and third elements at the outlet of the device. The coating consists of metal nanoparticles of the second element dispersed in an inorganic matrix of the first and third elements. The coating displays a plasmon absorption peak in the visible region.
ENAMEL PASTE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF COATING AND CHEMICAL STRENGTHENING GLASS SUBSTRATES
A paste for coating a glass substrate which, after coating, is subjected to firing and chemical strengthening by ion exchange to form an enamel coated, chemically strengthened glass product, the paste containing an organic carrier fluid; a first inorganic frit having a first softening point; and a second inorganic frit having a second softening point,
wherein the softening point of the first inorganic frit is higher than the softening point of the second inorganic frit such that the second inorganic frit can be softened and sintered at a temperature lower than the softening point of the first inorganic frit, and
wherein the first inorganic frit includes an exchangeable ion content which can be ion exchanged to chemically strengthen the first inorganic frit.
