Aluminum Nitride Powder and Method for Manufacturing the Same
Provided is an aluminum nitride powder useful as a raw material when an aluminum nitride sintered body excellent as an insulating high thermal conductive member is manufactured, particularly, by press molding.
An aluminum nitride powder includes particles having a sphericity of 0.8 or more, in which a median size D.sub.50 obtained by a laser diffraction method is 0.5 to 1.5 μm, a ratio D.sub.90/D.sub.50 of a particle size D.sub.90 corresponding to a cumulative undersize distribution of 90% to the D.sub.50 is 2.2 or less, a BET specific surface area is 2 to 4 m.sup.2/g, and a total oxygen concentration is 0.6 to 1.2% by mass.
Method for producing zirconia particle-containing powder
The present invention provides a method for producing a zirconia particle-containing powder that enables easy production of a zirconia sintered body having both high translucency and high strength. The present invention relates to a method for producing a zirconia particle-containing powder, comprising a drying step of spray drying a slurry containing zirconia particles, wherein the zirconia particles have an average primary particle diameter of 30 nm or less, and the slurry comprises a dispersion medium containing a liquid having a surface tension at 25° C. of 50 mN/m or less. Preferably, the zirconia particles comprise 2.0 to 9.0 mol % yttria. Preferably, wherein the content of the liquid in the dispersion medium is 50 mass % or more.
Silica fiber compositions and methods of use
Embodiments of the invention include silica fiber compositions useful for treatment of animal wounds and tissue, as well as for other applications in industry. The fiber compositions may be formed via electrospinning of a sol gel produced with a silicon alkoxide reagent, such as tetraethyl ortho silicate, alcohol solvent, and an acid catalyst.

A silicon nitride sintered body includes at least one black portion with a major axis of 10 μm or more in a field of view with a unit area of 5 mm×5 mm, when observing an arbitrary cross-section of the silicon nitride sintered body using a metallurgical microscope. A major axis of the black portion is Preferably 500 μm or less. The number of the black portion within the field of view with a unit area of 5 mm×5 mm is preferably 2 or more and 10 or less. A segregation portion of Fe is preferably included in the black portion.

The present invention relates to a method for additive manufacturing of a position sensitive colored ceramic article comprising: a) providing at least one flowable ceramic component; b) forming a green body by sequential deposition of the ceramic component provided in step a) and optionally a support material not intended to be part of the final article; c) position sensitive application of a coloring substance in a solvent to at least a part of the surface of the green body formed in step b), wherein the coloring substance is applied simultaneously to the sequential deposition; d) heat treatment or curing of at least a part of the green body surface obtained in step c); wherein the method steps a)-d) are at least performed once; e) optionally removing the support material from the green body; and f) sintering the green body to obtain the ceramic article; wherein the coloring substance is a dyestuff according to ISO 18451-1:2019(E). In addition, the present invention relates to a system adapted to perform the method and a control data set configured, when implemented in an additive manufacturing system, to cause the system to execute the steps of the inventive method.
ALUMINUM NITRIDE STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Provided is an aluminum nitride structure that includes a plurality of aluminum nitride particles, wherein aluminum nitride particles that are adjacent are bound to each other through a boehmite phase containing boehmite, and the porosity is 30% or less. Also provided is a method for producing an aluminum nitride structure that includes: obtaining a mixture by mixing an aluminum nitride powder with a solvent containing water; and pressurizing and heating the mixture under conditions of a pressure of 10 to 600 MPa and a temperature of 50 to 300° C.

Solution-assisted densification of NaSICON ceramics
A sodium-ion conducting NaSICON ceramic can be densified via the addition of a solvent to a NaSICON powder and subsequent pressing under high pressure and mild heat. Densification to ˜90% relative density can be achieved, providing a path toward low-temperature fabrication of Na-ion conductors.
Ultra-high temperature carbide foams and methods of fabricating the same

The UHTC foams are produced in a three-step process, including UHTC slurry preparation, freeze-drying, and spark plasma sintering (SPS). The fabrication methods allow for the production of any kind of single- or multi-component UHTC foam, while also providing flexibility in the shape and size of the UHTC foams to produce near-net-shape components.
