To improve the stability of spray application of a monolithic refractory in which a water injector is disposed in a material carrier pipe extending from a material supply device to a distal spray nozzle, and application water is injected from the water injector into a spray material that is being carried through the material carrier pipe, a ratio of a flow volume of an application water carrier gas for carrying the application water to be introduced into the water injector to a flow volume of a spray material carrier gas for carrying the spray material is set to 0.07 to 2, and a compressibility index of the spray material is set to 32% or less. Alternatively, a ratio of a flow volume of an application water carrier gas for carrying the application water to be introduced into the water injector to an application water volume is set to 100 to 1,000.
Method for preparing ceramsite by using municipal sludge as raw material
A method for preparing ceramsite by using municipal sludge as raw material, including the following specific steps: drying; preparing ingredients including raw sludge, fly ash, kaolinite, steelmaking slag, zeolite, hematite, calcareous shale, waste incineration fly ash, Fe.sub.2O.sub.3, waste glass, calcium carbonate, sodium lauryl sulfate, and sodium benzoate; mixing and stirring uniformly, and putting the stirred materials into a granulating machine for granulation; drying and preheating the material pellets after granulation, and then quickly transferring to a sintering device for first sintering at a low temperature and then sintering at a high temperature; crushing large chunks of the cooled materials; and separating and screening the crushed materials. The method of the present invention reduces the generation of the large chunks of the cooled materials in the obtained ceramsite, thereby reducing the subsequent crushing work and saving energy consumption accordingly.

The present invention relates to a method of forming a 3D ceramic structure by adding a 3D structure with one or more layer(s) of ceramic mixture onto a ceramic substrate. The present invention also relates to a 3D ceramic structure as well as to a green 3D ceramic structure.
METHOD OF FORMING A BORON NITRIDE (BN) NANOTUBE INTERFACE COATING ON CERAMIC FIBERS
An electrophoretic deposition method of forming a boron nitride (BN) nanotube interface coating on ceramic fibers has been developed. The method comprises immersing first and second electrodes in a suspension including surface-modified BN nanotubes, where the first electrode includes ceramic fibers positioned on a surface thereof. The surface-modified BN nanotubes comprise BN nanotubes with an electrically charged polymer adsorbed on surfaces thereof. A voltage is applied to the first and second electrodes, and the surface-modified BN nanotubes move toward the first electrode and deposit on the ceramic fibers. After the deposition of the surface-modified BN nanotubes, the ceramic fibers are removed from the suspension and heat treated. Accordingly, a BN nanotube interface coating is formed on the ceramic fibers.
METHOD FOR PREPARING COMPOSITE MATERIALS WITH AN OXIDE MATRIX AND OXIDE REINFORCEMENTS BY MEANS OF A CALEFACTION PROCESS
Method for the preparation, by means of a heating technique, of a composite material composed of a matrix of at least a first oxide of at least one metal and/or at least one metalloid reinforced by reinforcements in at least a second oxide of at least one metal and/or at least one metalloid, characterised in that the following successive steps are carried out: the reinforcements are placed in at least one liquid precursor of the first oxide of at least one metal and/or at least one metalloid; said reinforcements and the liquid precursor are heated so as to form the first oxide by means of the thermal decomposition of said liquid precursor, and to deposit the first oxide thus formed around the reinforcements and between the reinforcements thus forming the matrix.

In a particular embodiment, the aluminosilicate for making the composite granules can have a particle size less than 150 m. The composite granules are particularly suitable as roofing granules and can have a desired combination of high solar reflectance SR and low lightness L*, a low bulk density, good weather resistance and strength.
KR DESULFURIZATION STIRRING PADDLE CASTING MATERIAL AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
Provided are a Kanbara Reactor (KR) desulfurization stirring paddle casting material and a preparation method therefor. The casting material consists of a base material and an additive; the base material consists of the following raw materials in weight percentages: M70 sintered mullite 60-80%, flint clay 5-20%, fine powder 5-20%, and pure calcium aluminate cement 1-5%. The percentages of each component of the additive based on the weight of the base material are as follows: water reducing agent 0.05-0.2%, and heat-resistant stainless steel fiber 1-5%. The main raw materials are M70 sintered mullite and a small amount of flint clay so as to ensure good thermal shock resistance; the medium temperature and high temperature strength are controlled at 100-180 MPa so as to ensure good erosion resistance; the content of Al.sub.2O.sub.3 in the casting material is 60-70% so as to ensure good corrosion resistance; the ratio of high temperature strength to medium temperature strength is controlled at 1-1.2, which further improves the thermal shock resistance and peeling resistance of the casting material, thereby extending the service life of the stirring paddle. The casting material is lower in cost and has a good practical furnace usage effect; in addition, a paddle blade has less chance of cracking and peeling, while a bottom portion of the stirring paddle is less eroded, thus the frequency of paddle blade repair is low, and service life is significantly improved.
