BOND COAT FOR SPALLATION RESISTANT CERAMIC COATING
A method for coating a substrate with a ceramic coating, includes the steps of: applying a bond coat material to a surface of a substrate to form a bond coat on the surface; and applying a ceramic coat over the bond coat, wherein the step of applying the bond coat material produces a bond coat having a lower elastic modulus as compared to a conventionally applied bond coat.
Refractory object and process of forming a glass sheet using the refractory object
A refractory object can include at least approximately 10 wt % Al.sub.2O.sub.3 and at least approximately 1 wt % SiO.sub.2. In an embodiment, the refractory object can include an additive. In a particular embodiment, the additive can include TiO.sub.2, Y.sub.2O.sub.3, SrO, BaO, CaO, Ta.sub.2O.sub.5, Fe.sub.2O.sub.3, ZnO, or MgO. The refractory object can include at least approximately 3 wt % of the additive. In an additional embodiment, the refractory object can include no greater than approximately 8 wt % of the additive. In a further embodiment, the creep rate of the refractory object can be at least approximately 110.sup.6 h.sup.1. In another embodiment, the creep rate of the refractory object can be no greater than approximately 510.sup.5 h.sup.1. In an illustrative embodiment, the refractory object can include a glass overflow trough or a forming block.
COMPOSITE PART WITH SMOOTH OUTER FACE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A part for an aircraft turbojet engine nacelle is made of a composite material and includes at least one outer face (S1), a fibrous preform including fiber locks and having a surface(s) delimiting depressions between fiber locks, a covering material which at least partially covers the surface(s) of the fibrous preform and in particular the depressions, and a matrix which binds entirely the covering material and the fibrous preform. The covering material is a fibrous mat and the outer face (S1) is smooth. A method for manufacturing such a part includes manufacturing the fibrous preform, providing a fibrous mat, depositing the fibrous preform and fibrous mat in a mold, dispersing the matrix between the fibers of the preform and mat and consolidating the fibrous preform and mat.
HYPERBRIGHT WHITE ROOFING GRANULES WITH HIGH SOLAR REFLECTANCE
The invention provides a bright white refractory roofing granule, comprising a ceramic material formed from a substantially homogenous mixture of a ceramic-forming clay, sintering material, and optionally comprising silica particles, and other potential additives, said bright white refractory roofing granule having a total solar reflectance of at least 0.80 and a Hunter Color Lvalue of at least 85.0, together with processes for making and using the same.
METHOD FOR PREPARING CERAMSITE BY USING MUNICIPAL SLUDGE AS RAW MATERIAL
A method for preparing ceramsite by using municipal sludge as raw material, including the following specific steps: drying; preparing ingredients including raw sludge, fly ash, kaolinite, steelmaking slag, zeolite, hematite, calcareous shale, waste incineration fly ash, Fe.sub.2O.sub.3, waste glass, calcium carbonate, sodium lauryl sulfate, and sodium benzoate; mixing and stirring uniformly, and putting the stirred materials into a granulating machine for granulation; drying and preheating the material pellets after granulation, and then quickly transferring to a sintering device for first sintering at a low temperature and then sintering at a high temperature; crushing large chunks of the cooled materials; and separating and screening the crushed materials. The method of the present invention reduces the generation of the large chunks of the cooled materials in the obtained ceramsite, thereby reducing the subsequent crushing work and saving energy consumption accordingly.
HEAT-TRANSFORMING CERAMIC ROASTING CYLINDER AND COFFEE BEAN ROASTER USING THE SAME
A heat-transforming ceramic roasting cylinder and a coffee bean roaster using the same are provided. The ceramic roasting cylinder is made by grinding and mixing ball clay, kaolin clay, mullite, spodumene, and an energy ceramic material into a clay blank; molding the clay blank into ceramic green bodies; and sintering the ceramic green bodies at 12501320 C. for 1824 hours. The ceramic roasting cylinder has an internal roasting space where coffee beans are loaded. The ceramic roasting cylinder also has evenly distributed capillary pores through which heat can circulate to induce the energy ceramic material in the roasting cylinder to release negative ions and far-infrared rays. The far-infrared rays can reduce the van der Waals forces between the oil molecules in the coffee beans instantly, splitting large oil molecules into smaller ones, ensuring the oil in the beans are released sufficiently, evenly, and rapidly to the vicinity of the bean surface.
Composite ceramic comprising a corrosion protection layer and production method
The present invention relates to a component of a turbomachine made of a composite material comprising a ceramic matrix and a corrosion protection layer arranged on the composite material. The corrosion protection layer comprises: 50-80 wt % silicon, 12-30 wt % nitrogen, 2-8 wt % oxygen, 2-8 wt % aluminum, and 0-3 wt % of at least one alkaline earth metal. The invention furthermore relates to a method for producing a corresponding component of a turbomachine.
Multi-Layer Molded Part
