Pump system
A prosthetic system includes a prosthetic foot having an upper foot element with a concave-forward facing portion and foot portion extending forwardly therefrom. An intermediate foot element is disposed below the upper foot element and has a front portion coupled to the foot portion of the upper foot element. A lower foot element is disposed below the intermediate foot element. A pump system is coupled to the prosthetic foot and comprises a pump mechanism including a housing defining a cavity, and a membrane situated in the cavity. The pump mechanism is movable between an original configuration and an expanded configuration. An arm member is connected to the pump mechanism and operatively coupled to the intermediate foot element. The arm member is arranged to move the pump mechanism toward at least the expanded configuration upon movement of the intermediate foot element relative to the upper foot element.
Prosthetic device, system and method for increasing vacuum attachment
A prosthetic device includes a first place including a first end portion arranged for attachment to a foot member of a prosthetic foot. A second end portion is arranged to extend freely over at least a portion of the top surface of the foot member. A second plate includes a first end extending over a heel member of the prosthetic foot and a second end extending over and attached to the second end portion of the first plate. The second end portion of the first plate situated between the foot member and the second plate. A pump mechanism includes a housing secured to the second plate and a membrane operatively connected to the first place and the housing. The pump mechanism defines a fluid chamber between a bottom surface of the housing and a top surface of the membrane.
Method and apparatus for repairing a hernia
A hernia repair device, comprising: an inflatable balloon having an inflation tube, the inflation tube having a proximal end attached to said balloon and a distal end adapted to be extracted from the body, separately from the balloon, via an opening which is smaller than a laparoscopic opening; and a mesh removably attached to said balloon, wherein the inflation tube passes through the mesh.

PROSTHETIC SUPPORT SOCKET FOR AN OSSEOINTEGRATED FEMORAL ABUTMENT
An osseointegrated abutment support socket for a residual limb in which an osseointegrated abutment has been implanted is described. The osseointegrated abutment support socket may include a distal socket base assembly, multiple longitudinal struts and a percutaneous site protector. The distal socket base assembly may include a base plate, a collar extending proximally from the base plate and forming a receptacle for receiving a distal end of the osseointegrated abutment, and a strut support ring disposed around the collar. The struts are connected at their distal ends to the strut support ring and extend proximally upward. The percutaneous site protector contacts a distal surface of the residual limb near a percutaneous site where the distal end of the osseointegrated abutment exits the residual limb.

SENSORY CUSHIONING SYSTEM WITH INTERCONNECT AND METHOD
A sensory cushioning system, method, and associated apparatus and airbag, an internal electronic assembly, an external electronic assembly, and an interconnect. The airbag forms an interior volume and a pocket, wherein the interior volume is substantially airtight. The internal electronic assembly is positioned within the pocket. The external electronic assembly is positioned exterior to the airbag. The interconnect electrically couples the internal electronic assembly to the external electronic assembly.
System and method for an advanced prosthetic hand
A system and method for creation and function of an advanced prosthetic hand includes: a base palm, comprising the primary body of the prosthetic hand; a set of actuating digits, wherein each actuating digit is connected to the palm; a sleeve, connected to the palm, providing an interface; a sensor system, comprising sensors integrated on a subset of the set of actuating digits; and a feedback system, connected to the sensor system enabling sensory feedback from the sensor system. In preferred variations, the base palm comprises, at least partially, a carbon-fiber shell. The system may further include a set of water sealing elements integrated into the prosthetic hand. The system functions as a hand prosthesis with actuating digit and hand components.
