A movable table may be configured to support a patient. The movable table may comprise a communication interface configured to communicatively couple with a medical device. The movable table may also comprise one or more processors and a non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising a plurality of instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations. The operations may include transmitting, via the communication interface and to the medical device, information relating to a planned motion of the movable table and receiving, via the communication interface and from the medical device, a response to the information relating to the planned motion of the movable table. Based on the response received from the medical device, the operations may include selectively causing performance of the planned motion of the movable table.

Prosthetic external fixation assembly for post-amputee ambulation

A fixation assembly for attaching a prosthetic leg and foot combination directly to an external ring fixation assembly via a protective socket, and yet allow full adjustment of length and offset, protection of the residual stump when in use, and quick-disconnect of the socket when not in use. The device is meant for use with any existing external fixation ring assembly for fixation to a femur or tibia, and any prosthetic leg/foot combination. The fixation assembly generally includes a molded concave socket having a mounting base at its apex for mounting the prosthetic leg/foot, an articulating ring adjustably attached to the socket, and a plurality of struts there between. Each strut has a first locking pivot joint at one end pivotally attached to the articulating ring and a second locking pivot joint at an opposing end pivotally attached to the rim of the socket. The articulating ring is removably attached to the external ring fixation assembly by a plurality of detent pins for releasable attachment.

Prosthetic attachment system and corresponding lock assembly

A prosthetic attachment system and corresponding lock assembly for connecting a distal end of a prosthetic liner to a distal end of a prosthetic socket. The lock assembly includes a base arranged to be supported by the distal end of the prosthetic socket, and defining a bore. An attachment pin is arranged to be carried by the prosthetic liner and insertable through the bore. A lock mechanism is arranged to be carried by the base and is rotatable about a rotation axis. The lock mechanism includes a control knob extending outwardly from a side of the base. The attachment pin is arranged to interact with the lock mechanism cause the control knob to spin at least one projection of the control knob about the rotation axis.

DAMPER SYSTEM

Damper system for orthopaedic devices, with a proximal fastening device and a distal fastening device which are coupled to each other in such a way as to be displaceable relative to each other, with a first hydraulic or pneumatic damper device, which is arranged between the fastening devices and has a flexion chamber and an extension chamber separated from each other by a movable piston and connected fluidically to each other by at least one overflow line, wherein a second damper device with a parallel action, and with a velocity-independent hysteresis behaviour, is arranged between the fastening devices and is configured as a tube structure damper.

Leg orthosis and orthosis

A leg orthosis including a securing device for securing the leg orthosis to the body of a orthosis user and at least one articulation device by means of which a first orthosis component, which can be fixed to an extremity of the user, is mounted such that it can pivot with respect to the securing device. The articulation device includes at least three joints, which respectively comprise at least one pivot axis, and each pivot axis intersects at a common point.

Electrode arrangement for plasma treatment and device for producing a transcutaneous connection

A transcutaneous connection between an exterior and an interior of a human or animal body includes a cylindrical skin penetration piece which provides a passage through the skin and has a longitudinal axis that determines the direction of passage through the skin. Wound-healing action and reliable disinfection are effected using an annular flat electrode arrangement, which has a contact surface at an angle to the longitudinal axis, can be fastened to the skin penetration piece. The electrode arrangement includes a flat electrode and a flat dielectric shielding the electrode relative to the surface of the skin, and is designed as a counter-electrode to generate a dielectric barrier plasma between the dielectric and the surface of the skin.

A prosthetic apparatus and system for a trans-tibial amputee consisting of a post-operative interface socket that can be adjusted to accommodate the size of an amputated limb and changes in size of the limb. The prosthetic apparatus includes a lower socket into which the post-operative socket can be inserted, the lower socket being adjustable for changes in size of the post-operative interface socket. The post-operative socket also has a removable upper back shell that immobilizes movement of the knee during an initial recovery phase but can be removed to allow the knee of the amputee to flex.
