Eustachian tube drug eluting stent

An eustachian tube (ET) drug eluting stent includes a plurality of longitudinal spars with spring-like elements between each of the plurality of longitudinal spars, creating smooth arcs between each of the plurality of longitudinal spars while minimizing impediment of mucociliary flow. The combination of the plurality of longitudinal spars with spring-like elements are configured to enter into the ET uncompressed.

Uncaging stent

A stent (scaffold) or other luminal prosthesis comprising circumferential structural elements which provide high strength after deployment and allows for scaffold to uncage, and/or allow for scaffold or luminal expansion thereafter. The circumferential scaffold is typically formed from non-degradable material and will be modified to expand and/or uncage after deployment.

A dual opposing helical stent having a furled, small-diameter state and an expanded, large-diameter state. In the furled, small-diameter state, the stent includes a plurality of central lobes arranged at spaced-apart intervals and extending longitudinally defining a stent axis. The stent also includes peripheral lobes formed on the plurality of central lobes. The terminal ends of the stent are welded in a middle section of the stent. A method and technique for manufacturing the stent is also disclosed.

VALVULAR INSUFFICIENCY REPAIR DEVICE AND METHOD

This application relates to methods, systems, and apparatus for replacing native heart valves with prosthetic heart valves and treating valvular insufficiency. In some implementations, a heart valve leaflet clipping mechanism includes a delivery apparatus and clipping arms. The clipping arms are coupled to the delivery apparatus. The clipping arms are movable between an open position and a closed position. The two clipping arms are biased to the closed position. The delivery apparatus is configured to hold the clipping arms in the open position. The delivery apparatus is configured to allow the clipping arms to move to the closed position to engage native heart valve leaflet tissue.

EXPANDABLE DEVICES

Expandable devices are disclosed herein. Several of the embodiments are directed towards an expandable device configured to be expanded within a conduit. The expandable device may comprise a tubular sidewall having first portions and second portions. Radial expansion of the expandable device may cause the first portions to bow outwardly and out of radial alignment with the second portions.

Replacement mitral valves

A prosthetic mitral valve includes an anchor assembly, an annular strut frame, and a plurality of replacement leaflets secured to the annular strut frame. The anchor assembly includes a ventricular anchor, an atrial anchor, and a central portion therebetween. The annular strut frame is disposed radially within the anchor assembly. An atrial end of the annular strut frame is attached to the anchor assembly such that a ventricular end of the annular strut frame is spaced away from the anchor assembly.

DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SELF-CENTERING A PROXIMAL END OF A STENT GRAFT

A method for implanting a prosthesis centrally within a curved lumen includes loading a prosthesis into a delivery sheath, advancing the sheath in a patient towards the curved lumen to place at least the proximal end of the prosthesis within the curved lumen, and centering the proximal end of the prosthesis and/or the distal end of the sheath within the curved lumen. In a first advancing step, the outer catheter containing the inner sheath is advanced together towards the curved lumen to a location proximal of the curved lumen and, in a second advancing step, the inner sheath containing the prosthesis is advanced into the curved lumen to place at least the proximal end within the curved lumen while the outer catheter substantially remains at the location. After centering, the proximal end of the prosthesis is deployed centered within the curved lumen.

System and methods for treating neurovascular compression

The invention is directed to a system and methods for treating neurovascular compression. Certain preferred embodiments of the invention generally comprise an apparatus having an elongated body portion including a proximal anchor element and distal anchor element. The apparatus also may include one or more marker elements to facilitate placement of the apparatus by the user. The apparatus may be configured to permit the user, after insertion and deployment of the apparatus in a blood vessel, to move the blood vessel so that the blood vessel is no longer in contact with and compressing a nerve or other parts of the nervous system.

Endoprosthesis, delivery device and a method for implanting such endoprosthesis

The invention relates to an endoprosthesis (1), in particular a vascular or cardiac endoprosthesis (1), having a body (2) and also one or more thrombogenic elements (3) that are fixed to the endoprosthesis (1) and that are able to extend a distance away from the body outside the latter. The endoprosthesis comprises means (33) for selectively retaining the thrombogenic elements near the body (2). The release of the one or more thrombogenic elements, after the endoprosthesis has been fitted in place by a conventional method via a sheath, promotes thrombosis.
