Sealable endovascular implants and methods for their use

A method of implanting a prosthetic implant includes advancing a prosthetic implant into a patient's vasculature with a delivery apparatus, the delivery apparatus comprising a catheter and a control lead, the catheter including a lumen extending therethrough, the control lead extending through the lumen of the catheter, the prosthetic implant comprising an implant body, a seal extending radially outwardly from the implant body, and a locking bar coupled to the implant body and releasably coupled to the control lead, the locking bar radially offset relative to the central longitudinal axis of the implant body. The method further includes rotating the control lead of the delivery apparatus in a first direction relative to the catheter such that the locking bar rotates in the first direction relative to the implant body and the implant body expands radially from a first radially compressed state to a first radially expanded state.

Self-sealing PTFE graft with kink resistance

A self-sealing vascular graft, including a substrate with a sealant layer and several optional additional layers, is described. The substrate can be ePTFE and the material used for the sealant and additional layers can be polyurethane. The sealant layer and additional layers may include one or more base layers, one or more foam layers, beading of different sizes and shapes, and ePTFE tape. A flared cuff may be integral to one or both ends of the substrate or may be attached to one or both ends. Various methods of making a self-sealing vascular graft are also described, including methods of disposition, methods of forming, methods of bonding and methods of attaching.

Modified pusher apparatus

Placement of a stent having a tethered ferromagnetic bead may be facilitated with a modified pusher having an opening at the distal end of the pusher to receive the tethered ferromagnetic bead. The ferromagnetic bead may be positioned within the bladder whereby a tether connection to a shortened stent ending within the ureter may be used to reduce the likelihood of patient irritation. The bead, tether, and stent assembly may be advanced into the patient as a unit along a conventional guide wire and using a conventional cystoscope.

STENT FOR ANASTOMOSIS OF DIFFERENT KINDS OF ORGANS

A stent for anastomosis of different kinds of organs includes a main body, and at least one fixing unit provided in the main body. At least a portion of the main body is inserted into one of different kinds of organs to be anastomosed with each other, and the rest of the main body is inserted into the other of the different kinds of organs. A distance between the different kinds of organs under the anastomosis is maintained by the fixing units.

Extra luminal scaffold

Methods and devices for treating a luminal pathology affecting an anatomical lumen of a patient comprising forming, in situ, a continuous cohesive layer of covalently-crosslinked hydrogel in a luminal wall of the anatomical lumen.

MEDICAL DEVICE SUITABLE FOR LOCATION IN A BODY LUMEN

A stent suitable for deployment in a blood vessel to support at least part of an internal wall of the blood vessel comprises a plurality of longitudinally spaced-apart annular elements, and a plurality of connecting elements to connect adjacent annular elements. Each connecting element is circumferentially offset from the previous connecting element. Upon application of a load to the stent, the stent moves from an unloaded configuration to a loaded configuration. In the unloaded configuration the longitudinal axis of the stent is straight, and the stent is cylindrically shaped. In the loaded configuration the longitudinal axis of the stent is curved in three-dimensional space, and the stent is helically shaped.

The present disclosure provides an endoprosthesis where a preferably polymeric coating has a number of surface features such as protrusions or textures that are arranged in a micropattern. The endoprosthesis optionally has an expanded state and a contracted state, and in some cases includes a stent with a polymeric coating attached to an outer surface of the stent. The stent may have an inner surface defining a lumen, an outer surface, and a stent thickness defined between the inner surface and outer surface. The stent may comprise a plurality of surface textures extending from the stent surfaces, wherein the textures are arranged in a macropattern.
