Apparatus and method for deploying an implantable device within the body
The present invention provides systems and methods for deploying implantable devices within the body. The delivery and deployment systems include at least one catheter or an assembly of catheters for selectively positioning the lumens of the implant to within target vessels. Various deployment and attachment mechanisms are provided for selectively deploying the implants.
Vascular and aortic grafts and deployment tools
A vascular graft deployment tool may include a grip, an elongated mandrel positioned distal of the grip, a vascular graft, at least part of which is disposed coaxially about the mandrel, a sheath assembly including a distal sheath portion and a proximal sheath potion, wherein the distal sheath portion and the proximal sheath portion are configured to constrain the vascular graft against the mandrel in an insertion diameter and a actuator that is moveable relative to the grip and engages the sheath assembly, wherein operation of the actuator causes at least one of the distal sheath portion and the proximal sheath portion to separate longitudinally to free at least a portion of the vascular graft. Further, a vascular graft is expandable from an insertion state to a deployed state and at least two suture cuffs are located between opposed ends of the vascular graft.
Implantable medical device detachment system with split tube and cylindrical coupling
A method of constructing a detachment system for delivering an implantable medical device to a target location of a body vessel is presented. The method includes forming a compressible portion on a distal tube, engaging an implantable medical device with an engagement system, extending the engagement system through the distal tube such that the implantable medical device is distal of a distal end of the distal tube, applying a force to the engagement system to compress the compressible portion to a compressed state, fixing the engagement system to the distal tube to maintain the compressed state of the compressible portion, and joining a proximal end of the distal tube to a distal end of a proximal tube. The engagement system can include a loop wire that is fixed to the distal tube and engages the medical device.
Cardiac valve delivery devices and systems
A prosthetic valve delivery device includes a handle and a delivery catheter. The delivery catheter includes a central elongate member extending from the handle and a proximal sheath configured to slide over and relative to the central elongate member. The proximal sheath is connected to a hollow helical strand, and the hollow helical strand is configured to rotate to retract the proximal sheath and expose at least a portion of the prosthetic valve.
Advanced endovascular graft
This invention is a system for the treatment of body passageways; in particular, vessels with vascular disease. The system includes an endovascular graft with a low-profile delivery configuration and a deployed configuration in which it conforms to the morphology of the vessel or body passageway to be treated as well as various connector members and stents. The graft is made from an inflatable graft body section and may be bifurcated. One or more inflatable cuffs may be disposed at either end of the graft body section. At least one inflatable channel is disposed between and in fluid communication with the inflatable cuffs.
Transcatheter mitral valve prosthesis
A prosthetic cardiac valve comprises an anchor having an atrial skirt, an annular region, and a ventricular skirt. The prosthetic valve also has a plurality of prosthetic valve leaflets each having a first end and a free end. The first end is coupled with the anchor and the free end is opposite the first end. The prosthetic cardiac valve has an open configuration in which the free ends of the prosthetic valve leaflets are disposed away from one another to allow antegrade blood flow therepast, and a closed configuration in which the free ends of the prosthetic valve leaflets engage one another and substantially prevent retrograde blood flow therepast. The anchor has a collapsed configuration for delivery to the heart and an expanded configuration for anchoring the prosthetic cardiac valve to a patient's heart.

IMPLANT DELIVERY ASSEMBLY WITH DISTAL PROTECTION FEATURE
A delivery system for deploying a medical implant includes an elongate delivery wire assembly slidably disposed within a delivery catheter lumen, the delivery wire assembly having an implant loading region configured for seating the implant when the delivery wire assembly is constrained within the delivery catheter lumen and the implant is in a compressed delivery configuration, the delivery wire assembly further including an implant distal protection feature having a central portion coupled to the delivery wire assembly distal of the implant loading region, and a peripheral portion extending proximally from the central portion to at least partially cover a distal end portion of the implant when the delivery wire assembly, implant and implant distal protection feature are constrained within the delivery catheter lumen, wherein the peripheral portion remains extending in the proximal direction when the implant assumes an expanded configuration after being released from the delivery catheter lumen.
Abdominal aortic aneurysms: systems and methods of use
A stent graft system includes a tubular graft component, a bare stent component, an infrarenal stent component at least one suprarenal barb extending distally from at least one suprarenal portion of the bare stent component and at least one infrarenal barb extending distally from at least one infrarenal portion of the bare stent component. A stent graft system can also include at least one barb.
Stent graft with a longitudinal support member
A delivery system for delivering and deploying stent grafts having a proximal stent includes a first lumen and a stent capture device including a capture portion fixedly connected adjacent a first lumen distal end. An outer catheter has a catheter distal end and a catheter inner diameter. A second lumen having a second distal end is slidably disposed about the first lumen and within the outer catheter. A stent graft sheath has a sheath proximal end connected to the second distal end and disposed about the first lumen. The sheath has a sheath distal end and a sheath inner diameter greater than the catheter inner diameter for holding a compressed stent graft. A distal nose cone has a cone proximal end connected to either the capture portion or the first distal end. The nose cone and the capture portion are movably adjustable to selectively capture the sheath distal end therebetween.
