An orthosis configured to stretch tissue around an ankle joint of a patient and methods for assembling and using the same are provided. The orthosis includes a first member affixable to a lower leg of the patient, a second member affixable to a foot of the patient, the second member including a second extension member having an arcuate shape configured to move along an arcuate path relative to the first member when the second member is moved from a first position to a second position relative to the first member, and a drive assembly coupled to the first member and the second member, the drive assembly configured to move the second member with respect to the first member.

Described is an exercise tool. More particularly, it is a therapy and exercise tool specifically devised as a foot-therapy and toe-aligning device to align, separate, and stretch toes. The foot-therapy and toe-aligning device comprises a frame with a plurality of posts connected with the frame. The device is formed of an elastic material such that a user may place at least one of the plurality of posts between a user's toes and pull the post to stretch and elongate the post between the toes. Upon release, the elastic material of the post causes the post to attempt to return to its original shape, thereby causing it to expand out and conform its shape to fit snugly against the user's toes. Additionally, the elastic material allows the toe posts to be positioned and maintained at numerous locations between the user's toes for customizable positioning between the toes.

Specifically, the therapeutic footwear may be used for maintaining, correcting, or repositioning the great toe to decrease pressure on the first metatarsal-phalangeal joint or bunion. Additional therapeutic features may include spreading of the wearer's toes, supporting the wearer's arch to control excessive pronation, and providing sustained heel cord stretch at rest, during ambulation, pedicure, and before, during, or after medical treatment.

A fixation device comprises a first clamping member having an adjustable clamping collar and a first curved support portion attached to the adjustable clamping collar. The first clamping member is adapted to receive a digit. The first curved support portion is adapted to support an inferior surface of a proximal phalanx of the digit. A distal member is adjustably attachable to the first clamping member. The distal member has a second curved support surface adapted to support an inferior surface of a distal phalanx of the digit and a curved distal end adapted to apply a compressive force in a proximal direction to a distal end of the distal phalanx.

A medical auxiliary equipment, in particular to an adjustable toe orthotic device, with a primary support and a secondary support connected by rotation; the primary and secondary supports are both provided with bandages, separately used for tying the primary support to the arch of the foot and the secondary support to the toe. Pivots of the primary and secondary supports are arranged with a lifting component, which is used to abut on the deformity point of the toe, and by adjusting the lifting distance of the lifting component, it adapts to different degrees of toe deformity. The invention discloses a toe corrector comprising a corrector base with a toe bandage and a sole bandage provided thereon to cooperate with said corrector base; the toe corrector also includes an adjusting rope on the corrector base and an angle adjusting mechanism is provided to connect with the adjusting rope; said angle adjusting mechanism includes a rack belt and a latch adjusting component; one end of the rack belt is connected with the adjusting rope while the other end thereof passes the latch adjusting component; the position of the rack belt is adjusted through latch adjusting component. The invention adopts latch mechanism component to realize adjustment of the position of the rack belt, which can save more labor and avoid short rack broken or rack skipping effectively.
