External ankle brace
An external ankle brace for restricting movement of an ankle in a first direction and permitting movement of the ankle in a second direction includes a rigid heel enclosure having a rear portion and a forward portion. A lateral upright extension is perpendicular to the rigid heel enclosure and is attached to the lateral sidewall. A medial upright extension is perpendicular to the rigid heel enclosure and is attached to the medial sidewall. At least a chosen one of the lateral and medial upright extensions is selectively pivotally attached to a corresponding lateral or medial sidewall and includes a pivot prevention feature configured to selectively prevent pivoting of the chosen one of the lateral and medial upright extensions with respect to the corresponding lateral or medial sidewall.
Thermoformable orthosis apparatus and method of use
An improved thermoformable orthosis apparatus for being selectively formed and applied and removed having offset zipper closures on two shell members for improved hinging and opening and access for initial application and forming when malleable and for removing and reinstalling when hardened.
Ankle Foot Orthosis
The ankle foot orthosis solves a problem of a poor adaptation to a user's foot (3) and the related discomfort. It provides for simultaneous correction of several symptoms in the foot and ankle areas. It is completely produced from a uniform material, the thickness and shape of which change depending on user's specific needs. It is designed in such a way that it does not intervene with other functions of a user's foot. It is manufactured by preparing a 3D model of a user's foot when placed in a physiologically correct static position, by modelling the ankle foot orthosis directly to a 3D model of the foot (3), by 3D printing from preferably a photopolymer, and by adequate post-processing. Due to its minimalistic design, the user can wear the orthosis in a shoe of his appropriate foot size.
Total contact cast
A lower leg and foot cast including foam padding, a stockinette, cast padding, one or more layers of conformable cast tape, a foam pad having a foot bed and left and right malleolar pads, and a foot and ankle positioning device configured to be positioned over the foam pad, the device including an under foot portion and left and right vertically-extending side extensions configured to be positioned covering the left and right malleolar pads of the foam pad.
ORTHOTIC DEVICE FOR MEDICAL BOOT
An orthotic device for a medical boot includes a first arm for attachment to a first portion of the medical boot, and a second arm for attachment to a second portion of the medical boot. A hinge assembly adjustably fixes an angle between the first and second arms. The hinge assembly includes a first hinge component attached to the first arm, a second hinge component attached to the second arm, and an actuator extending from a proximal end toward a distal end. The distal end of the actuator is biased by a force from a biasing member into a locked position preventing the first and second hinge components from rotating relative to one another. The proximal end of the actuator when actuated, displaces the actuator from the locked position into an unlocked position allowing the second hinge component to rotate relative to the first hinge component.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FOOT AUXILIARY EQUPIMENT
A method of manufacturing a foot auxiliary equipment includes the following steps. Firstly, a foot appearance of a foot and a foot muscle of the foot are scanned for obtaining a foot appearance data model and a foot muscle data s model respectively. Then, the foot appearance data model and the foot muscle data model are synthesized into a foot data model. Then, a dynamic state analysis and a static state analysis are performed on the foot data model. Then, a foot auxiliary equipment data model is generated according to result of the dynamic state analysis and result of the static state analysis. Then, a foot auxiliary equipment is printed by using three-dimensional printing technique according to the foot auxiliary equipment data model.
Ankle-Foot Orthosis
An inventive ankle-foot orthosis which transfers a portion of a wearer's weight normally applied to a wearer's foot and ankle to a wearer's calf thereby removing weight bearing stress from the wearer's foot and ankle.
OFF-LOAD HIGH LEG-FOOT BRACE
A brace includes a bottom having a sole made of a soft material with a tread intended to come in contact with the ground, and a stiffening plate fixed on the sole. A rigid body is provided having a base plate removably connected to the stiffening plate. A monolithic upper is removably connected to the body, and at least one intermediate sole made of a soft material is disposed on the base plate of the body.
SUPPORT DEVICE
A blood flow stimulating device comprising: a boot (101) including a sole (111) and an upper; a sock (11) disposed within the boot (101); and a bladder (19) disposed within or on the sock (11), wherein the bladder (19) is configured to undergo repeated inflation and deflation so as to stimulate blood flow in a wearer of the blood flow stimulating device, wherein the sock (11) further includes a toe region (1002), a heel region (1001) and a raised portion (1003) between the toe region (1002) and the heel region that (1001), in use, reduces the distance between the sock (11) and a foot of a wearer of the blood flow stimulating device at the raised portion of the sock.
OPTIONAL TWO PIECE SUPRA MALLEOLAR AND ANKLE FOOT ORTHOSIS SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREFOR
An ankle and foot orthodic device has an insole. An ankle support is positioned under the insole and extending up above a foot and proximate an ankle of a user.
