A toe fixing device that is capable of fixing a patient's ingrown toenail to correct the ingrown toenail, without the assistance of the patient or his or her surgeon, to thus allow an adherent composition to be applied to the ingrown toenail of the patient through the free use of both hands of the surgeon. The toe fixing device includes an upper plate reference part having an upper plate, a long movement guide hole piercedly, and a fixing support stand; a lower plate moving part having a lower plate, a fixing hole, a nut, and a moving support stand; and a position fixing part adapted to fix the lower plate moving part movable to the left and right sides along the long movement guide hole of the upper plate reference part to the upper plate reference part.

The present invention relates to an apparatus for aligning a sensor relative to at least two anatomical reference points of a patient's anatomy. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes: a body having a central axis; a sensor mount positioned relative to the body; at least two arms extending from the body, wherein two of said at least two arms are simultaneously and equidistantly moveable relative to the central axis; and at least two aligners connected to the at least two arms for aligning with said at least two anatomical reference points. The apparatus may also include an apparatus sensor. The present invention also relates to a surgical system for monitoring the orientation of a patient's anatomy, which includes the apparatus. Furthermore, the present invention also relates to a surgical system for guiding a surgical device to an optimal orientation relative to a patient's anatomy, wherein the surgical system includes the apparatus. The present invention also relates to: a method of aligning a sensor relative to at least two anatomical reference points of a patient's anatomy, and to a method of guiding a surgical device to an optimal orientation relative to a patient's anatomy. In one embodiment, the patient's anatomy is the pelvis.

A nail correcting device made of an elastic material includes: a pair of holding pieces arranged side by side in a predetermined direction; and a connecting piece connecting the holding pieces to each other, the pair of holding pieces each including: a body at least partly in an arc within a plane intersecting with the predetermined direction; and a pair of first and second distal edges connected to both ends of the body to hold a nail. The present invention provides a corrector for a deformed nail capable of being easily inserted into near a root of the nail without giving pain to a patient when attaching the corrector even for a serious ingrown nail which is significantly deformed and curved or a deformed nail having an irregular shape on a lateral edge. Thus, a great effect of the correction can be obtained and the deformed nail can be prevented from occurring again. The corrector includes a band-shaped central region to be in contact with an upper surface of the nail; and an insertion edge region continuously extended from at least one end of the band-shaped central region to be inserted between a lateral nail edge and a lateral nail fold, wherein when a direction of a base side of the nail is defined as an upstream and a direction of a tip side of the nail is defined as a downstream in a state that the corrector is attached to the nail, a screw impeller-shaped portion having a specific shape and dimension is formed on a portion including an end portion of an upstream side of the insertion edge region and a hook portion is formed on a downstream side of the insertion edge region in comparison to the screw impeller-shaped portion to hold the lateral nail edge of the nail or a lateral edge of a nail tip.
